The end of the world in 2030 or before?!
Which of these years do you expect to be the end of the world?

being a christian and reading the events in the bible in the end times it seems plausable to me it most likely will be an asteroid that destroys everything.
what with all the imagery and verses ie, "the powers in space will be driven from their courses" and the stars will fall to the earth" and those passages about the sun and moon not giving their light, which from watching discovery channel shows thats probably what would happen as huge amounts of dust would fly into the atmosphere and block them out.
on the positive side I wont have to experience that horror as I'm sure I will long be dead due to my heart exploding from all the fast food I eat.

You know, I tried to think of a way to take the piss out of you here, but I just can't improve on the humour of your original post.

There's a difference between believing in God (which is ridiculous enough) and actual literal belief in the "prophecies" of the Bible. Your kind of belief is just frightening; the sort that sees people believing that nuclear war is a good thing because it means Armageddon is close. And I'm sure there's a logical reason why your prediction of the End Of Days is the correct one and the other 89,975 versions are wrong.glennjridge wrote:I get you dont believe. you dont have to be so insufferable all the time because of it.

the only one aching to start a religious war is you. I'm just found the topic interesting and since the thread topic was the end of the world via an asteroid hit,I just included a couple quotes from a book that appears to support a asteroid hit.
it could have been any book,a steve king book.I chose the bible. you have a knee jerk reaction to these things. we've already done this topic to death.

That astroid will miss Earth by 1,000,000 Miles, so we can breath easier. I dunno about 2012. Some annoying prophets predict this. What people saying that there would be a giant earthquake and the Earth as we know will change. Who knows, i may descover the power of anti-matter
Yo, Mr. Dopeman, you think your slick;
Ya sold crack to my sister, and now she's sick.
But if she happens to die, because of your drug;
Im puttin' in your culo, a .38 slug!

BTW, in 3 billion years, if I plan to live that long, we will worry about a gallatic-collission. The Milky way and Andromeda will collide to make an elliptcal galaxy.
So then the galaxy as we know wont exist.

No, it's not going to happen, the asteroid is going to miss the Earth for a few miles, & God promised no more floods, but c'mon, we are destroying ourselves through resistant viruses, and due to daily harmful environmental exposure, there have been several cases of de novo spontaneous genetic alterations; even in humans, which not all are compatible w/ life. So yes, there will be illnesses, no sunlight=no produce; it’s going to be gradual, until one day, some of us will be gone, just like that....& no more pain, no fear....
