A face like that is PSB at they best. That throbbing synth bass and even bells, It's in my top 10 Had they included In Slow Motion, In hIs imagination and lost Hold on and Ego music it would be up there with Behaviour. And Breathing Space is gorgeous. One of their finest ballads. The production is a...

Re: Record Store Day 2020

You say this, but the indie record store I go to does excellent business the entire day, an dis very much a highlight of their year. It celebrates record stores and it is the choice of punters to involve themselves or not. I tend not, but simply go in there a week alter and buy the vinyl releases he...

Re: Record Store Day 2020

LOVE this idea -

love a Disco 5.2 12” single that had the MGMT remixes on one side & the Lady Gaga remixes on the other.

These two mixes are their best. Such a shame Kids has never been released.

What IS the story with the Kids remix. MGMT didn't like it?

As expected, people largely enjoyed it, with a few vocal nay-sayers cluttering up the forum with their over-inflated opinions. Much like life, really.

Re: 10 years of Fundamental - Trevor Horn answers questions from forum members

Both Bright Young Things demo and Radiophonic demo are better than the studio version. I'd add Sodom and Gomorrah Show, Flamboyant and Indefinite Leave to Remain. The first one is simply ready for release, the others should have been properly produced following the style of the demo. IMHO I prefer ...

Happiness is an option
Footsteps is the most underwritten bland piece they've ever written, That and the only one.
Night before I fell in love - it's a great tune but the lyrics! My god.

Re: New EP on April: Agenda

GSAC - Its greatest crime is breaking what PSB are renown for: subtlety. This song is as subtle as clotted cream. Whereas 2006's Indefinite Leave to Remain used immigration status as metaphor for love, or the other way round, this just points at people with differing political opinion and calls them...

Re: New EP on April: Agenda

Social media is FAR better - love it. It's an italo off-cut from the Very era. Is it Chris doing backing vocals ?

I'm still in shock over GSAC.

But very pleased there is an EP to keep us happy until the album , and that GSAC won't be on it.

Good times.

Re: New EP on April: Agenda

Wow. This is actually a bit shit. Talk about conceited. I mean Neil, come on! He comes across as a complete t***. it's sneering and superior. I know best. The plebs are stupid for having different opinions to me. And they've written better b-sides. Dead can dance is a million times better than this.

Re: The new album of Pet Shop Boys: "It's sounding good!". Are you sure Neil?

Sadly, I think one of my favourite things in life is hearing of a new PSB song title long before I hear it, so I can imagine what it sounds like.

It reminds me of them announcing It's a sin in Smash Hits.
