Re: A new decade a new phase: 20's

Hit records dont exist anymore anyway. Nearly everything we grew up with has dissapeared. No more proper top 40. Its just some hashed up list of whats been streamed the most. No more TOTP's, no proper singles packages, no videos. The charts were dying ages ago and when they allowed that ginger bloke...

Re: Today I listened to Elysium for the first time since 2012...

Memory of the Future and Leaving are two of the very best. Other than that, i'm not really keen. Sadly, i rate Hold On above Invisible. I just dont like it at all but its obviously a good track.

Elysium's B sides would have improved the album.

Half time today Notts County v Grimsby Town, they played Getting Away With It. Does that count?

It was the only decent part of the worst game ive ever seen.

Re: 10 years of Fundamental - Trevor Horn answers questions from forum members

Bright Young Things demo trumps the proper version. I think the demo of The Loving Kind is better as well. Although both are very good. Fundamental is their best all round album since Very imo. It still grates me how the album version of Integral wasnt released as the first single. Mental decision.

Re: New EP on April: Agenda

A nice surprise Agenda was this week. We've patiently waited long enough for new stuff. Stupidity - Bogey Social Media - Bogey The Rich - Par Forgotten Child - Birdie Time Pretty decent set of songs, although i'll not revisit the first two much and id be dissapointed if they were album material. I d...

Re: New EP on April: Agenda

Its decent. A nice surprise. Which is all youre really going to get really. Its hardly likely to be on the album lol. Par for the course bonus track really.

Looks like 2019 is going to be a busy year. Its about time.

Re: BBC4 Top of the Pops Repeats

1987 - curious show concentrating on the C list 'celebrities'. Good on EMI re-releasing a stonewall classic by Nat King Cole, much as I think Rick Astley comes across as a decent bloke that was a terrible cover. And I did laugh at Carole Decker being outraged by being usurped to the Christmas No.1 ...

Re: BBC4 Top of the Pops Repeats

I didnt realise EMI pulled that stunt. They did they something right, quite triumphantly. They all seemed to accept defeat quite well actually, even with a bit of a clenched fist. Apart from that toothless simpleton of the Pogues. Poor Carol Decker though. A few more weeks at number one and theyd no...
