It’s a good song! Do OMD usually include it in their live set-list?
I agree. They played it when we saw them last November.

OMD - Pandora's Box (It's a Long, Long Way)

As I type this OMD's 1991 hit "Pandora's Box (It's a Long, Long Way)" is playing on the radio. Has anyone else noticed how similar the instrumentation of "Was It Worth It?" is to this song? They really remind me of each other. The OMD song came out first.

Re: It Couldn’t Happen Here June 2020 Release Confirmed

Remember, the elaborate music video for Heart was filmed for It Couldn't Happen Here but it didn't fit in. So compare the music video for Always On My Mind to the section in the movie, then you can imagine what the section for Heart would be. Presumably complete with dialogue. Let's not forget, sta...

Re: It's alright

I don’t think it’s a good idea. Aside from being the sort of thing they’ve criticised other groups for in the past, they’ve always been about looking forwards rather than backwards.

Ok. Fair enough. Let’s hope that this isn’t the last sight of Chris unplugged as such. Be great if he would do a medley of some of their songs !!!
Agreed! I love that he posted this clip.

Re: Wow! Chris has appeared.

Still loving listening to this A couple of thoughts ... 1). This comes out after Tom Watkins died. The man who didn’t rate Chris and wanted Neil to go it alone. A big middle finger to Tom ? I don’t think Chris has the mentality of a three year old. It comes out during a frightening global pandemic ...

Re: Tom Watkins dead

What was wrong with his health? He had had at least one stroke, a liver transplant and had diabetes. I am unsure what he actually died of though. It is a shame as I thought he was much better through having a liver transplant. Mind you, just the thought of having that would have taken it out off yo...

Re: Why is Neil fascinated by Tony Blair?

I don't really view it in those terms. They've always written about contemporary events, which covers most of the songs you cite. I can't think of any other recent figures who have had quite the spectacular fall from grace in the public's eye that Blair's had, so it's a good subject to write about.

Isn't "Sooner or Later" most probably "Love comes quickly"?
That didn’t occur to me, you’re probably right.

Re: New Boy demo tape - Pet Text

Looking forward to hearing the 2018 finished version. The tape is a real curiousity. Notice it's Chris' handwriting, the same as his signature. 4 instrumental versions of 'stick it on'. Songs 'looking for love' and 'don't ask me'. Who knows if they were working titles for songs we're already famili...
