Re: Burning the heather

Ok, after a few listens during lunch break I could say that: - Talking about the melody line, I like the chorus. The verses sound too general and repetitive. They also reminds me of The Forgotten Child. - The lyrics are very cryptic and interpretative: is the autumn portrayed a phase of life? A feel...

Re: A Respectful Word to Trolls

A word to trolls....you know who you are... Free speech is fine...hold forth on the soapbox, but don't forums usually have rules? Yes I know who I am and I am one of those you call Trolls. By the way my real name is Matteo. This quote of your own words is enough for me: yes forums have rules, this ...

Re: The New Album Info Thread

Strange title choice. Maybe it will make sense in the context of listening to the whole album, but for now it sounds flat and meaningless, totally unrelated to the cover artwork. Very un-PSB in that sense. I can't believe they ran out of ideas. Maybe Hotspot is meant to be the opposite to a chill p...

Re: The New Album Info Thread

I don't think that on Neil's mind hotspot is the internet thing.
If we consider his own political ideas, after Agenda, Dreamland, his avversion to Brexit and Trump,
I bet he's referring to the migrants hotspot.

Nobody else here appreciate the lost child? Certainly not a hit, but very moving and well constructed.
Ok, what I like:

- On Social Media
- The Forgotten Child
- Soup
- An Open Mind

I made up an E.P. of "E.p.s". And yes I like Soup, you've seen it correctly.

Dreamland is OK btw.

Anybody researched/gave a listen to this Jacques Renault guy? Hopefully his remix will be more in the Tom Demac, rather than Kornel Kovacs vein.

Re: Dreamland / No Boundaries CD single - October

When I'll go back home to my gear I'll try to find out differences and similarities about all this stuff.
I have to discover what's wrong in my head.
I still prefer Undertow by the way and to my ears even the bassline in Jump is the same as West End girls.

Re: Name the next Pet Shop Boys album

I had a dream last night and the album was called Cloud and the cover was predominately brilliant white with an illustration/outline of a cloud in the centre, similar to the sticky signs they used to use on TV weather forecasts. The cloud had a smiley face as well. The artwork was quite interesting...

Re: Dreamland / No Boundaries CD single - October

Do you not like It’s A Sin? I bet you hate Burn then. It's A Sin came first, even if this is not the case, one can't continue repeating the same song forever. And the problem with Burn is that Stuart Price completely rip off one of the '80's major success of italo disco, not an unknown song, i.e. T...

Re: B-Sides since 2009's "Format"

It's not exactly on a par with Alternative, is it? :-/ It would be a very weird collection, starting with an edit of Fugitive from a German-only CD single, followed by four cover versions then one original (Je ne sais quoi) then two more covers, a couple of demos and then jumping over to the x2 b-s...
