Re: Of course it might just be me........
I agree Bolshy is right at home on Electric, and also one of my favorites. I like Last To Die, but yes it is a bit Killers/lite rock as has been noted in terms of the overall album aesthetic. However, it doesn't hurt to have one track like that to add some dimension. By the time you hit track 6, you...

Re: Which last PSB song made you feel excited (like in the old days)?
I wish I could list Burn. It has some of the right elements to bring that euphoria, but in the end it's a let down. Part of the issue is the repetitive chorus. But more so, it just doesn't build up properly. It drops off in the wrong places and the mixing just doesn't allow for a true euphoric exper...

Re: Point of No Return
I agree with rashomon. I also don't think that this individual is trolling, I think they have a genuine interest, but are not good at expressing it in a way that is meaningful to anyone else. Certainly a lot of work went into these posts. I think off-topic is the correct place for them. Not that any...

Re: Pet Shop Boys Biopic?
1987 - Neil is in studio with Dusty. She is being a major pain singing one syllable at a time. 1988 - Trevor is in the studio and needs MORE COWBELL (I mean more strings) on Left to my own devices. 1993 - Chris plays Neil Go West. Neil frowns saying this will never be a big hit. 1996 - Neil and Chri...

Re: PSB announce ‘Inner Sanctum’ live DVD/BLU RAY/CD
I have found disc 1 of the 2CDs is fairly re-listenable. Pop Kids/In The Night/Burn is the most re-playable. Disc 2 I don't have any desire to listen to except Home and Dry for the nice take on The Enigma at the end.

I accidentally opened this thinking it was a normal thread.
I demand to know what drugs you are taking.
This is what happens when you go to uni, but also you had a lobotomy.

Re: Demography actually exist?
Yes they all exist. I have most all of these tracks in one form or another.
Still have not heard the Mayan tracks though. I posted about it 9 years ago: https://www.petshopboys-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=23453

This has nothing to do with PSB. Nor is it very good. Just listen to the Union Gap.

Re: Today I listened to Elysium for the first time since 2012...
People will disagree, but one of the biggest disappointments of Elysium is Memory of the Future. It's just a bore. Just sits there. One of those singles that is supposed to be big but just lays there. The other big issue for me is the lack of tracking on his Vocals, where his singing on some tracks ...

Re-evaluating Agenda One Month Later
Maybe I was too harsh on Agenda. What strikes me after repeated listens on decent speakers is how full of sound these tracks are compared to tracks on Super. While Stupidity and Rich aren't traditional electro-PSB, they do have a lot of PSB musical elements floating along through the tracks. Putting...

Re: These Magic Moments, Part I
My take away from this is that "Extrospective" may be the name of the next album. All their knew titles will be followups to the past titles: Please - Thank You Actually - NotReally Instrospective - Extrospective Behaviour - Stillness Very - Slightly Bilingual - Unilingual Nightlife - Dayt...
