Re: PSB at Royal Opera House
I can completely understand the frustrations of those complaining about ticket prices.
I can also completely understand the prices. They sold out shortly after going on sale.
They could have probably charged more. It is what it is.

Re: PSB at Royal Opera House
Yeh what's all that about in the front row behind the moshpit??!! The 'mosh pit' is the orchestra pit, people within it won't obstruct the view of the front row at all. Source: I was in that pit for the 2016 inner sanctum concerts. How was the stage view from the pit? I was in a box last time which...

Re: PSB at Royal Opera House
80 in the orchestra pit too - so thats 11,680 across five nights
average sale price of ~£150 per ticket = £1.75m in ticket sales
not bad for 5 nights work

Re: New Single - Loneliness
The church bell in the album version is such a magical moment, but the single edit is just awful, it cuts off an entire leg of the sing. I know they have to do 3 min edits for radio, but it does not make for good art. They don't have to do 3 minute edits for radio. At all. The last single of theirs...

Re: New Single - Loneliness
This is an impeccable overall package - the artwork is magnificent, and the inclusion of two 'proper' b-sides is great. That said, and this is pure personal taste of course, Loneliness itself is a bit grating to my ears - something about the chorus is borderline unpleasant to listen to. Not great, b...

Re: 10 years of Electric
My favourite PSB album - a true masterpiece.
Who else has produced such a vibrant, unexpected, compelling work of art so late in their career?
Utterly peerless. And, imho, their most consistent, joined-together album to date.

Re: I asked an AI to create a new Pet Shop Boys song, this is what it came up with
Regardless of how great ChatGPT already is today, it has some rather annoying weaknesses as well. It mixes facts with whatever it creates in the moment and it's never clear to its user. Here is an example: "What is the lyrics for Sad Robot World by Pet Shop Boys?" Here are the lyrics for ...
