Re: Spotify

So quick question - has anyone been using soundcloud go+ and any feedback? I use Spotify and have done for sometime - I liked the fact you could use Spotify with DJ software and mix from spotify playlists and albums - which is quite handy if you don't want to fill your laptop or hard drive up with ...

Who did the vocal on Occupy your mind? I assume it's Sylvia, I know Neil says something at the end but could never quite catch it on the dodgy recording.

I think "New Boy" is rather lovely actually. I see what they mean about the strong melody.
completely agree.

I am sure I read somewhere that Chris played the trombone on the original demo.

I guess it was exactly the same as the CD, apart from lots and lots of bird sounds over the top? I was hoping for something a little more live, given the mention of performers, however anything promoting them and a little bit different is all good :-)

Re: Bring him back - I know who I want to produce the next album

Another vote for Harold Faltermeyer.

However I would love it if they used Rex the dog aka Jake Williams aka JX. He has managed to take his 90s dance sound and move into new modular synth clubbing areas. He likes the Pets and has written tracks like "Bullet in the Gun" that Chris likes.

If you like Divine’s Native Love try Tosh (gosh) by Fluke... It's a much harder version of the bass line.

Re: The most New Order-esque PSB tracks?

Flipping the question round I highly recommend a listen to Miracle Cure (Genussmittel Mix) on the Mark Reeder / Blank & Jones album Reordered. Bernard is on vocals. The track sounds like a pumping remix of Rent.

Re: Newly-scanned Very-era interview with Pete Gleadall and Bob Kraushaar

Loved this, thanks for posting. As Pete has jumped into the world of modular synths I wonder if it will start to influence the Pets sound, and they might start sounding more stripped back and monosynth. I saw he recently got an old Roland System 100m which was used all over behaviour and was the mai...

Re: remix consultant

Not sure if Ralph Moore visits here, but he should get Theo Kottis to do a remix.

His new track "Clear" - it's on Mixmags soundcloud (not sure if can post link) sounds like the PSBs crossed with some 90s trance... and it's really rather good!
