Re: PSB at Glastonbury !

So to make today very memorable, my nephew of 19 years pinged me today totally out of the blue to ask me ... "in your opinion what’s the best pet shop boys album to start listening to?" I was floored - he's not into much pop stuff and listens to a lot of bands/acts I'd not heard of - 21 Savage for ...

Re: Dricography: Ranking Behaviour

The only thing I don't like about the Jealousy single package (at least on the CD single) is the sleeve. The picture of Neil fits the song but Chris looks like he's having way too much fun and the font is too rave-y. Neil is wondering why you didn't phone when you said you would. Chris is rushing t...

Re: Final results of poll comparing PSB singles to their music videos

Not surprised with this result. The video for Left to my own devices is such a disappointment. It's not awful the way the clip for Home and Dry is, it's just so boring compared to the song, especially after the magisterial video for Domino Dancing. Left to my own devices deserved so much better. I a...

Re: Dricography: Ranking Nightlife

It was 1999 when Neil asked Chris if it was time to give it all up, wasnt it? I've always thought Nightlife was decent. A few duds. Vampires being one of the better tracks. The demo even better. The TOTP's performance of New York City Boy was awful though. Who was that melt that was gobbing off on ...

Re: Dricography: Ranking Nightlife

Nightlife is my least favourite PSB album but that era holds many fond memories for me. Dotmusic, Mike Fiorenza, spaceman, etc. Hard to believe it's been almost 20 years.

Re: Dricography: Ranking Introspective

Greetings, Were they right to release It's Alright as a single? What a strange question to ask in relation to a Top 5 single. Retro. :) Not really. Like Drico wrote, it was surprising that they released it as a single eight months after Left to my own devices. Also, wasn't Tom Watkins adama...

Re: Dricography: Ranking Introspective

6. Losing my mind The bonkers percussion, demented air, and general sense of nuttery makes this a creepy pleasure. This was a standout of the Performance show where all sorts of malevolent activity was taking place under cover of darkness - and bedsheets. It's raw and taut, even a little crass, but...

In Slow Motion is easily the best track from the Elysium period/album.
Yeah, it's a shame they didn't record it properly and put it on the album instead of Winner and/or Hold On.

At the recent album playback, it was reported by someone there... "The record was played, the interview was great - she joked she basically made a Pet Shop Boys-sounding record because they never asked her to sing with them"
It would be amazing if she did a record with PSB.

I’ve never heard of ‘really’. If anyone would care to indulge me - please PM.
Same here. I lost my files many PC's ago.
