Re: YES

1 The way it used to be. 2 Pandemonium. The closest to a 00's version of an 80's Stock/Aitken/W. song - the nearest in sound to them since "It's alright". 3 King of Rome. The drum beat is a little too prominent, as it is on "The night I fell in love", and slightly interrupts the ...

Re: Yes enters UK album chart at No.4

It sounds as if Mr Masterton would have chosen The Smiths record over PSB if he was facing the Brandon Flowers purchasing dilemma years ago! Well, they got much nearer to the top than I'd have guessed a couple of weeks back, so therefore I should be happy...and I am fairly, but... It's very disappoi...

Re: PSB > "Outstanding Contribution To Music" Brits Awards 2009

(Thanks Dipso, nice pic!) I still don`t like Neil`s sun glasses! Why see his gorgeous eyes on a huge screen only? :( A fair point. Liked Brandon's speech, he delivered it with charm and sincerity. I imagine he'll remember the night for a while! There wasn't as much of him and Lady Gaga as I'd feared...

Re: If you could choose to listen one song from "Yes" right now

I'd follow Oznerol's plan to ideally hear my least favourite track first, or since that would be tricky, at least the general supposed "worst" one. (I don't think I'll try out the samples.) But the one I'd like to hear most from the title alone is "The way it used to be", to see ...

Re: PSB > "Outstanding Contribution To Music" Brits Awards 2009

Great news, thoroughlycompletelyutterlytotally deserved. It should hopefully mean the new album will be out earlier in the year than I was imagining too. :D I love the Popjustice reaction (on page 3), especially the "75 minutes" part. It would be good, as already mentioned, if Madonna were...

I would certainly include "Leningrad" by Billy Joel (1989) in my Top 10, as well as "The Day Before You Came" by ABBA (1981). Ooh, yes, "Leningrad" is one of my favourite songs too. I prefer a lot of Abba to "The day before you came", although when I narrow i...

Thanks for that, bobblekat. And the translation is...fun! Interesting to get a comment on Eurovision from one of them. It's not a surprise they wouldn't want to appear, though they could always write someone else a song, such as they did for Alcazar. Scooch was probably the best out of the dire UK f...

Thanks for posting these interviews. Does this officially make him a grouch?

I saw that Word magazine say that their PSB cover issue (a year or so ago) is one of their best selling ever. Hopefully that means they'll be keen to feature PSB again.

It's always good to hear him on the radio, even if the advance guesses here were so accurate that we almost didn't need to actually listen! When he started talking about Russia, I thought for a moment he was going to pick t.A.T.u.

Thanks for the quote. Trevor Horn produced some of G4's first album (runners up from the first series of X Factor).

There's a small mention of Neil in the last paragraph of this Scissor Sisters article:
