Surrounded by old tapes, DATs, CDs etc for a forthcoming reissues project. It's always interesting to see what forgotten gems turn up! Back to songwriting next week. Neil x
So, what do u think is waiting us? A Singles boxset? Further Listenings for Nightlife-Elysium albums?
What do you think of the vocal demo ?
It's really interesting/ funny to me how Elysium that demo is and how Yes the Leaving demo is. The Boys make me aware of creative aspects of art that I don't notice elsewhere. I like the dubsteppy instrumentation in the Vocal demo, played with more rock-ish...
I've opened this new topic as a source of news for Aussie fans regarding Love etc and Yes. Here is the latest:
* I have it on good authority that Yes is now available in stores in Australia (or at least in Hum on Oxford in Sydney). I'm not sure about Yes etc, but will check it out tomorrow and...
I picked mine up at Red Eye Records in Sydney where Yes is $44.98 and Elysium is $39.98. All up I saved $15 by getting them both at Red Eye. The guy at Red Eye said that the Australian record company had jacked up the price for no apparent reason.
Apologies if this has been posted already. On iTunes you can hear previews of all the tracks on the forthcoming EP from Bright Light, Bright Light, which includes a cover version of West End Girls with Ana Matronic doing lead vocals.
Just search Bright Light, Bright Light - I only want to please...
A friend of mine is his main choreographer and appears in all his videos! :)
is that the cute dude he hus in the Running Right Back to You video?
Nearly 14 years ago this gem was released. Even the packaging and artwork is ace. We probably have enough singles for a disc 3 now. Depending what counts as a single.
I'm not sure if Neil and Chris got it quite right with their choice to put what song on which disc though.
A few pointless stats...

Hey there! Tomorrow (Saturday) is the last full day of my current poll (the second of two parts), which lists the second half of the Pet Shop Boys' singles and asks you to indicate whether their music video for it enhanced your enjoyment and/or appreciation of it, detracted from it, or had no...
The final results are in for my poll this past week, Part 1 of a two-part survey in which I'm asking my site visitors to indicate whether each official music video for the Pet Shop Boys' singles enhances, detracts from, or has no significant effect on their enjoyment and/or appreciation of the...
I dunno... there's a pretty terrible Roller Derby video still to come...
Really? People are spending money on this crappy release? Who needs an entire cd with remixes remixes from two songs? Disc 3 features nine remixes for one song? Shut up already and take my money! Sh'yeah!
I would like to thank the many viewer of the thread.
Unfortunately I have to close the thread now for some reasons, which have occurred with me. So the archive isn't continued, as I had actually planned.
Since I had no function to answer a few questions, I would like to do it here. I don't...
I have a question @PSBFriend..do you have all Tracks ?
I had already written up in the first thread, that I don't have all the tracks, but only those, which can be obtained normally everywhere, by CD, vinyl or download. To say it again. No I don't have all the tracks of...
Ever noticed how their cover versions always sound better than the originals? Be it Always on my mind, The Last to Die, It's alright or Go West. The boys always seem to tweak the chords for the right amount to make them sound more in line with the vocals.
Yes, that's very good. The only Elton collaboration worth its salt. But again, that originated nearly two decades ago. I remember being at university at the time of the An Evening with Elton John show and thinking that the segue was marvellous. It was in the drought between Bilingual and Nightlife,...
