From Twitter: Back on the b-sides. "No excuse" has turned into "Up and down" and it's fantastic. Going to finish it on Thursday. An earlier message suggested they'd already finished it, so this song has probably been worked up some more... wahey. I'm still suspicious that we won't get all three b-s...

International release info & Chinese censorship!

from OS : Astralwerks will release Pet Shop Boys' new album, "Yes", tomorrow (April 21st). Both single and double-CD versions will be available. EMI inform us that other countries where "Yes" is soon to be released include Chile, Colombia, Russia and China. In Argentina the album was released last w...

Re: The Singles That Should Have Been

This is getting us nowhere... We all have our own opinions about which songs should be / have been singles. I personally think Generic Jingle is the best unreleased single of their career (I mean, at least it got air-play). Let's face up to the reality that singles are (and are going to) play far le...

Re: All Over The World Single

What I still fail to understand is the following: PSB obviously want "All over the world" to be their next single. And they're right: it has by far the most hit potential. However, EMI wants "Did you see me coming?" That's their good right, but if you want that song to be the 2nd single, *why* rele...

Re: All Over The World Single

Far more likely scenario: Did you see me coming? will bomb because it's already been released THREE times and also because it's not really that good a song (apologies to those who disagree) and any third single will be vetoed indefinitely. As PSB fans we should be used to disappointing outcomes when...

Re: Did You See Me Coming IS 2nd single out May 25th

It's a bizarre choice given the fact that this will now be the fourth release of this song(!) : Story (8 March) Love etc. (16 March) Yes (23 March) Did You See Me Coming? (25 May) Does Miranda Sawyer work for EMI and the BBC?! Having said that maybe they're banking on the fact that the song did get ...

Re: Did You See Me Coming IS 2nd single out May 25th

OH...MY...GOD... Not content with all the other cock-ups over the past few years, they're going to release one of the weakest tracks on the album which everyone's already heard! Actually I don't think this is made up. Because it's the worst possible decision they could possibly make, they'll do it. ...

But I doubt that spelling Mandalay "Mandelley" is intentional...

Re: I'm "Bulding a Wall" ...AROUND MY SPEAKERS!

An earsore in the middle of the album. Pretentious w***, but with about as much depth as a puddle in a drought Embarassing lyrics. Embarrassing spoken parts. Worst track on the album, followed by More Than a Dream, and that isn't such a bad track. Possible contender for worst song ever by PSB. :wall...

http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/music/cd_reviews/article5939493.ece Once you’ve scraped off Xenomania’s production gravy, Pandemonium and Did You See Me Coming? are very much the dumplings in this casserole. Actually, I tend to agree with this. There's little subst...
