Re: SDE article: How do PSB decide who remixes their songs

I'd like a massive, exhaustive download set. Then I can dip in and download the few mixes I really like that I either don't have or only have on vinyl and want nice digital copies of (such as 'Opportunities (Shep 12")', 'Domino Dancing (Base Mix)'). If it was only physical, I couldn't bear to pay fo...

Re: Hotspot - Further Listening

I always like to use the Annually diaries to order my own Further Listening style playlists. From studying the new edition, does anyone have any builds or tweaks to the following? 1. New boy 2. The forgotten child 3. What are we going to do about the rich? 4. Give stupidity a chance 5. On social me...

Re: Hotspot - Further Listening

Electric is slim pickings given it was made in the shadow of Elysium: 1. Odd man out 2. No more ballads 3. Get it online 4. Entschuldigung! 5. Fluorescent (Indio mix) 6. Fluorescent (Cali mix) 7. Oppressive (the best gay possible) dance mix 8. Oppressive (the best gay possible) slow mix Super is sl...

Interesting idea. What would the order of the Electric and Super Further Listenings be using this method?

Looks like the O2 show is moved to 30 May 2021.
I could find no mention of this date online. What was your source?

I may have missed it, but where did Neil say what Hoping For A Miracle is about?

Re: New single - I don't wanna

It's really divisive being a PSB fan isn't it? Yeah that amazes me too. Is there any other band whose die-hard fans are so divided over tastes and opinions about the band's music? The music (not lyrics) of I don't wanna just doesn't go out of my head these days! I'd call the divided fans on this fo...

Re: Where the streets have no love ...

As good as any album. Single releases like this, that can stand alone and be played straight through as often as you want, are what music lovers want, aren’t they. Was just thinking about this sort of thing last night. What would be everyone's preferred selection of four songs from each single rele...

Re: FL does not make Disco masterpiece obsolete

Disco desperately needs to be remastered (if only to fix the sudden drop in sound quality and volume when you use one the tracks in play list). That's what 'replay gain'/'smart gain' is for in media players - brings the volume of quiet tracks up and loud tracks down based on each track's average vo...

Re: It couldn't happen here soundtrack album

5:07 is also the track time for the album version. Still most likely it's the Video Version as that's the one heard in the film itself, plus Discogs states Julian Mendelssohn as the producer - he only produced the single versions. This shows the cassette's credits as both Suburbia and Always on my ...

Re: It couldn't happen here soundtrack album

Greetings, Someone asked on discogs, and so will I - which version of Suburbia is on it? Apparently the video version, which didn't appear on CD until PopArt. Possibly, although looking at Discogs, the version on PopArt clocks in at 5:11, whereas the version on the soundtrack clocks in at 5:30. I a...

Re: Love comes quickly mix discrepancy on Disco

Did the original vinyl release of Disco have an edit of the track to fit all of side 2 on? Nope.I have the original vinyl and CD and they're identical as per https://www.psb-catalogue.com/discopic.htm . Must just be a typo, as Shep Pettibone Mastermix is listed as 7:34 for the Love Comes Quickly si...
