Re: 10 years of Fundamental - Trevor Horn answers questions from forum members

Both Bright Young Things demo and Radiophonic demo are better than the studio version. I'd add Sodom and Gomorrah Show, Flamboyant and Indefinite Leave to Remain. The first one is simply ready for release, the others should have been properly produced following the style of the demo. IMHO I prefer ...

I still hate the single mix, mind
The single mix is the same as the album version. Which version are you thinking of? The radio edit in the video and on the promo CD?

Re: PSB announce ‘Inner Sanctum’ live DVD/BLU RAY/CD

It's gonna be Region 0, judging by the Amazon cover, which means "playable worldwide". I believe that's the standard these days? https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81QYHMUgaPL.jpg Also, if you look down there in the picture above, first CD is 10 tracks, the other is 8 tracks. Does thi...

Re: PSB announce ‘Inner Sanctum’ live DVD/BLU RAY/CD

I wonder if the sound mix on the CDs will be different to the DVD/Blu-ray, as it was on the Pandemonium set? If so, I'm glad there's a DVD included as I've not worked out how to rip audio from Blu-ray yet! DVD=rippable; Blu-ray=better picture quality. Only gripe is I'd have much preferred the bonus ...

Re: Popjustice, Christmas and "Always on my Mind"

Only place I hear it at Christmas is on the playlist in my local Morrisons supermarket - which is no doubt a national playlist in all their stores in the UK. So it gets some airplay there!

Re: 2019 Pet Shop Boys News: "Inner Sanctum DVD, touring, new album"

I can’t remember who it was but there was a singer on BBC Radio 2 recently who was talking about their own DVD release. They said that because of how their show was filmed it was only suitable for DVD and not Blu-ray. I wasn’t aware of that. Maybe it could be converted in the same way as older film...

Re: In my house

I think it's a real missed "opportunity" that they've never played the Introspective version of 'Always On My Mind/In My House' live before - it'd make a cracking encore. Hope they get around to it someday. Imagine that build-up/crescendo towards the end where the single riff comes in played live..!

Why no 'Patience Of A Saint' as well in that case?

Re: Final results of poll comparing PSB singles to their music videos

Regarding this week's new poll, it's worth pointing out that Pet Shop Boys have performed 'Getting Away With It', 'Disappointed', and 'Patience Of A Saint' live before with Electronic in 1991: http://www.feeleverybeat.co.uk/live/europeantour.htm . Also Wayne, I was unable to submit a comment on the ...

Re: Complete Singles Collection Vol. 1

They've talked of a release like this for some time. I think it'd be great for many fans, but I really hope it gets a digital download release with no 'album only' tracks you can't get without buying the whole release. I already have many of the mixes on compilations and 'Further Listening' reissues...

Re: Dricography: Ranking Introspective

Fantastic album that I always find myself going back to and loving more and more each time. What always impressed me with 'Introspective' was the sound quality compared with the reverb-heavy and tinny 'Please' and 'Actually'. When I bought it on vinyl in 1988 it had a clout to it, even back then on ...
