Wow, 9 days before release date! I just ordered from the BFI shop in the hope I can get it sooner than Amazon (which estimates delivery on 20 June - I'll cancel if BFI ships first).

Re: DREAMWORLD Greatest Hits Tour RESCHEDULED until 2021

In an alternate reality we'd be waiting for PSB to take to the O2 stage right this minute... Watching 'Inner Sanctum' Blu-ray to slightly ease the disappointment...

Be nice if it was a preview of one or two of the 'Dreamworld' live arrangements we've yet to hear due to the tour being postponed.

Re: Master sources

I know Hague was big on his digital recording ('True Faith' being a clear example in 1987). Wonder if 'Please' is listed as ADD because a couple of the songs had analogue origins ('Opportunities', 'Why Don't We Live Together?') because they had original versions recorded before the digital 'Please' ...

Re: 4th single off Hotspot - I Don't Wanna

Anyone have any insight as to whether PSB store will be getting any more IDW CD singles? My order got cancelled because my bank thought the charge was fraudulent. Official Store would not let me re-instate my order & now it's sold out :wall: Don't know if you're in the UK, but Amazon UK still h...

Re: Fundamental Instrumental leaked

On a related note, Pet Shop Boys have put Hotspot on Bandcamp, which allows you to download the file in any number of formats, including my favourite digital format, FLAC. Perhaps they could be convinced to use Bandcamp a bit more extensively, as it's a great platform used by a lot of indie artists...

Re: Is now the time for MCMLXXXIX?

Can't remember where I read it, but I'm sure they mentioned a few years back they were intending to release ICHH, Discovery and the full MCMLXXXIX recording on DVD... Anyone remember the source?

Re: Bring him back - I know who I want to produce the next album

I still think Ulrich Schnauss would be a perfect match. His 'Memory Of The Future' remix was beautiful, and if 'Burning The Heather' is indicative of the style of the next album (in 'Annually' they state it was initially intended for the next one), Ulrich's own warm organic electronic instrumentatio...

Re: SDE article: How do PSB decide who remixes their songs

I'd like a massive, exhaustive download set. Then I can dip in and download the few mixes I really like that I either don't have or only have on vinyl and want nice digital copies of (such as 'Opportunities (Shep 12")', 'Domino Dancing (Base Mix)'). If it was only physical, I couldn't bear to p...

Re: Hotspot - Further Listening

I always like to use the Annually diaries to order my own Further Listening style playlists. From studying the new edition, does anyone have any builds or tweaks to the following? 1. New boy 2. The forgotten child 3. What are we going to do about the rich? 4. Give stupidity a chance 5. On social me...

Re: Hotspot - Further Listening

Electric is slim pickings given it was made in the shadow of Elysium: 1. Odd man out 2. No more ballads 3. Get it online 4. Entschuldigung! 5. Fluorescent (Indio mix) 6. Fluorescent (Cali mix) 7. Oppressive (the best gay possible) dance mix 8. Oppressive (the best gay possible) slow mix Super is sl...

Interesting idea. What would the order of the Electric and Super Further Listenings be using this method?
