Re: Expectations

nonetheless, i love Bourgeois, Dictator and even Hold on. Totally agreed with these tracks! And so glad that I've found someone else who loves Hold On! I think it's fantastic but boy are we in the minority on that one! I like “Hold On”, and I’m not ashamed to admit it! Also: The non-vocal mix...

Re: Reissues project

10000+ for top 40? When you have two PSB albums easily inside the top 10 around that time (Nightlife and Release) which both sold 17 - 18k. Both went down to 28 and 32 respectively in their second week. According to your stat above, both must have sold over 10k for those 2nd week positions. I know ...

Ok
Has anyone noticed any difference in sound quality between the original Elysium and the remaster?

https://www.irishtimes.com/culture/bruce-springsteen-is-slightly-less-authentic-than-one-direction-1.3333687?mode=amp Drico. Yep ... I’ve often felt the trope “rock authenticity” is an oxymoron. After all the “electric guitar” and amplified vocals just reek of traditional folksy authenticity :( -Zog

“Into Thin Air” revisited

I was listening to “Into Thin Air” a short while ago, and was struck by what an astonishingly good PSB song it really is. For me, “Into Thin Air” did not immediately reveal its depth. I thought the song was decent enough, but not outstanding. I don’t feel this way any more. “Super” had been out for ...

Re: Potemkin played on Radio 3

Thanks!

“Comrades” is a first-class example of how good the PSB are as composers.

(IMO, this has been obvious in much of their work throughout their careers)

Re: Tom Stephan - Believe In Love, lyrics by Neil

Lyrics by Neil (he asked that this was not credited!) and music by Tom Stephan From Wayne's website; Something that Neil says in the Elysium booklet really has me perplexed. In the discussion of "Leaving," he says of one of the PSB remixes of that song: "I realized afterward that had nicked the "I ...

Don't know why its taken me so long to sign up...but great to see so many fellow PSB fans. And good evening from Victoria, BC, Canada :) FYI: I’m originally from London UK, but have lived in the Victoria area for a long time. (For those unfamiliar with this part of Canada.
