Re: A questionnaire for fans about the new album

I'm only going to answer a few of the questions (the interesting ones) because I lack the patience to do it all. 4 - what do you prefer an album with a similar sound or different kind of songs? I would like them to keep to a theme - electronic and gritty. 6 - Do you think is interesting to include a...

I dont think any of us are in a position to generalise, with certainty, about the motivations or interpretations of the general public. All we can do is make assumptions, which may or may not be correct. Neither you, nor I, know for sure. The only thing we can state with any certainty is our own op...

Well, that's a PSB fan's interpretation of It's A Sin, not the general public's, and the public was who bought it back then. As for not getting that with Kylie, a visit over at Say Hey will enlighten you about ALL the post-rationalisations of Kylie's -even SAW era- tunes. Better The Devil You Know ...

I'm not debating the subject matter of It's A Sin, I know exactly what it is about and no amount of silly fan post-rationalisation changes the fact that it's a Eurodisco stomper about seedy sex and has the lyrical depth of *any* Bobby O single, which after all, was based on. Well, you may have your...

I'm sorry, but you're clearly exaggerating. I can't possibly believe It's A Sin and all the rest of PSB classics are played almost daily in Scandinavian countries. For starters, if they were played so often in Finnish radio, there would have been a new topic every so often by The Freak announcing t...

With the exception of hardcore fans, noone *cares* about the subject matter of any song. People just like to sing along with the tune when they hear it on the radio. Fact of the matter is, if the tune of It's A Sin had been set underneath SAW lyrics, it STILL would have been as big a hit. Lyrics ar...

Re It's a sin/Lucky; Lucky is a catchy pop song about wanting to fall in love - its a subject covered a million times over in pop music and, while very pleasant to listen to, is a variation on a very, very common theme. It is not original in any way, and neither does it make any sort of statement on...

BTW, why is the chord structure in Lucky 'more complicated'?

Just curious....

Because one is pure throwaway bubblegum pop trash (albiet a classic), the other is an epic which recalls a restricted Catholic upbringing in a predominantly secular society. No, it's not. It's A Sin is an exhilarating Eurodisco stomper, nothing more than that. Its lyrical content is pretty standard...

Not sure about It's A Sin, but I Should Be So Lucky was written in 2 minutes while Kylie was waiting in the PWL lobby because Mike and Matt had totally forgotten she was coming. I dont think the two songs are comparable, really. why not? Because one is pure throwaway bubblegum pop trash (albiet a c...

It is true that the best albums tend to come naturally. Wasn't 'Its a sin' written in 20 minutes or something? The more you work on something, the further away you get from the original concept, and all that over-analysis often makes for tracks which are hard to instantly like, but which, to the PSB...

The global premiere of a new Madonna single is hardly the same thing! It is exactly the same thing but on a smaller scale. If PSB decide to play something new, I'm sure it will be only one new song and (if the rumours are true) it will probably be "No time for tears". In the London concert (which I...

You would have been, if they have decided to gate crash Red Square but unfortunatly, they have been asked to perform. So mister, you were wrong! Dave Not reallly - he said they hadnt been invited to Live 8 in London, which i...
