I did win a pair of tickets to live 8, and I can honestly say I am pleased that the PSB's wont be performing. They're just not that kind of band - they dont really know how to work a crowd. For all of their talent, they lack showmanship. I remember listening to a Spanish Dj talking about a concert ...

[quote="jamie1978" For all of their talent, they lack showmanship. How can they lack showmanship when they have never been about that? You say it as though it's a bad thing but PSB have never been about shwmanship, thank god. It's one of the reasons why they have been successful. Dave[/quote] I don...

Chris has immaculate taste in music. For starters, we like the exact same records. With the exception of The Show Must Go On, of course. How can you not like The Show Must Go On. One of the greatest rock anthems ever, IMO! Was that song written in the context of Freddie dying of AIDS? Just curious....

you seem very sure, why wouldnt they have been asked?
They had a massive falling out with the promoter, who lost them £750,000

No Time for Tears is the worst PSB single they have ever released So have you heard the single version? Well, short of re-writing it and releasing a completely different song, a few tweaks here and there is going to make no difference, and it would be ludicrous to claim 'tighter production' or 'ext...

I didn't have the chance to hear neither the song nor the whole soundtrack, but for what others told me it sounds good, a perfect mix of electonic and orchestra, tha's what i love!! I can't wait for the 29th August!! I think its a beautiful song and it does mix an orchestra with sort of...

If i'm not wrong, i remember Neil been asked in an old interview if they'd like to take part to something like the old Band Aid project, whether they'd have been asked to do it. And Neil answered they probably wouldn't do it. So, maybe, that's why they won't be involved in the Live8 thing... but, i...

From what i remember they didn't rock Glsatonbury. When they started their set hardly anyone was there and the audience reaction was embarrassing. It wasn't until the field started to fill up for the band that followed and PSB played Always on my mind and West End girls that the audience responded....

Apologies if someone has already mentioned this (I'm new to the Message Board malarkey and consequently 'a bit slow'!), but is there a possiblity that PSB aren't doing Live 8 because of their previously strained relations with promoter Harvey Goldsmith? Or do we think (as someone has suggested) it'...

I definitely recall hearing that the "It's A Sin" video was filmed in Canary Wharf! I thought it was mentioned in the PopArt commentary of that video or I may have read it somewhere. The same goes for the video to "Heart" - I definitely remember reading or hearing that it was filmed in Zagreb, Yugo...

I just found this on the Internet Movie Database, although a couple of locations listed were incorrect but I have changed them and added a few: Canary Wharf, England, UK It's A Sin That's all I could find for the moment! :D Its a Sin was filmed in EITHER Shoreditch or Spitalfields Church - I think ...

A few days ago someone posted this: http://www.virginradio.co.uk/theguide/rock_pilgrimages/place/clacton-on-sea_amusement_arcades/ According to that, " Clactons seafront and the Amusement Arcades in Pier Avenue" should be where they shot Always on my mind video (hence, some ICHH also ?) Also: It's ...

I'm not contradicting myself. Before is their biggest *chart* hit since 1996 because it got to #7. Se A Vida E was a bigger airplay/videoplay hit but a lesser chart hit, it got to #8. Both were not stellar successes but made the Top-10 which is a better way to promote the album than having a big se...
