Re: Neil Tennant in conversation, Saturday 5 October 2019, RNCM Theatre

I hope,we don't become an album like Elysium. For us hardcore fans,it is ok,but the "normal" listener likes more the PSB Dancetracks. Look at the sales from Elysium and compare with Electric or Super. Why are sales so important? because albums that sell highly do so because people enjoy listening to...

Re: Neil Tennant in conversation, Saturday 5 October 2019, RNCM Theatre

The last album that Neil thought was 'very very very very very good' was Elysium. So don't get your hopes up.

Last week Dreamland increased it’s plays from 402 to 645, its their highest number of plays in the U.K since Love etc.
This is great. Radio airplay shift albums and concert tickets like nothing else.

Re: The lost single

Closer to Heaven should have been the lead single from Nightlife

The way it used to be should have been the second single from Yes

Fugitive should have been the lead single from Fundamental

Oh and Before should never have been a single

Re: Dreamland chart positions

It's their biggest radio 'hit' since Love etc, for sure.

And frankly, it deserves to be. It's an incredibly accessible, immediate pop track, the likes of which they haven't released since 1993.

From your post is it self-evidently true that you have absolutely no idea what 'production' is.

Re: Dreamland on A List BBC Radio 2 and Record of the week

Oh my God you guys. Most all anyone talks about on here is the validity of their marketing campaign and then arguing your point. All futile and pointless exchanges. A single, an interview, a promotion, a tour, a final album, blah blah blah. They are going to release what they are going to release w...

Re: Dreamland on A List BBC Radio 2 and Record of the week

okay so 1) 'normal' people don't buy physical singles 2) the single was released to promote the greatest hits tour 3) PSB make probably something in the order of 10x more touring than they do from record sales 4) they can support the album launch with another single release/teaser tracks - in the us...

Re: DREAMWORLD TOUR

Unless they are holding tickets back for later release, sales appear to be impressive, and even more so considering the ticket prices. A few days on sale and most venues are 90%+ sold. That should mean the shows sell out (or near to it) by the time the shows actually come around. This is quite the ...

Re: Rate "Dreamland"

Greetings, Neil and Chris are making the albums they want to make. Sure, but that doesn't mean that we have to pretend they haven't entered a second career nadir. ...the point being that staying with the same producer isn't necessarily a bad thing. Agreed, but if the results are sub-par, you've got...

Re: [Setlist] PSB at Venue 1 & Hyde Park (14./15. Sep 19)

It was a brilliant show - especially the atmosphere and complete lack of smartphones. Neil also seemed very relaxed on stage and was happily (and funnily) joking when he forgot the lyrics at certain points. Everyone seemed to have a great time, N&C included. Imagine how incredible it would be to hav...

Re: 2 albums?

I’d say Discography too, but it’s missing the Very singles (for obvious reasons). I don’t think any single after the Very area can be properly labeled a hit. Se a vida e, New York city boy, and Love etc were all hits in various territories, some quite big hits (like New York city boy in Mexico and ...

Honestly, these are pretty standard prices for top-tier concerts in 2019.
