Re: Bring him back - I know who I want to produce the next album
To sum things up. I've read three good suggestions: Anne Dudley, Hans Zimmer and Alan Wilder. Apart from Bobby O that is. Have you heard My beautiful laundrette? It's the sound we've been waiting for, the proper banging and laser, not that Stuart Price-millenial crap. The sound of when going to the ...

Re: Bring him back - I know who I want to produce the next album
@df118junkie pmsl agree! Some great suggestions but not Rich X. Next producer needs to be current otherwise they’re on the slippery slope (think Dawson/Elysium). What ever, you can bet that SP will be involved somewhere (sighs) as he’s their ‘musical director’. You're absolutely right, time to brin...

Bring him back - I know who I want to produce the next album
It's time, finally after so many years to make an album with Bobby Orlando. I recently read the FL-booklet for the Release era where Neil praises Orlando's song writing capabilities. Instead of doing a 4th album with Price or turning to a hot new producer they should do something with Bobby O. It wo...

Re: Hey, Super - that's a really good album
Remember, the key is to listen straight through the album from Happiness to Into thin air, it's then that it's clear that it's a great album. The mix of fast and slow tracks flows really well. The mix of themes also makes it a great listen. Although, as it's clear by now, I like when PSB do socio-po...

Re: Hey, Super - that's a really good album
No filler. It's one of those quite coherent albums. Please, Disco, Actually, Introspective, Behaviour, Very, Yes and Super. On the other side Bilingual, Nightlife, Release, Fundamental, Elysium, Electric and Hotspot all have one or some filler or abysmal track that shouldn't have been on there at all.

Re: SDE article: How do PSB decide who remixes their songs
I hated almost all remixes that came out after 1991 Same. I was quite shocked when I heard those Rollo and MK remixes of "Can you forgive her?" (with its dumb, repeating-the-same-line-over-and-over on a 4/4 beat, which most later remixes liked to do too). And it didn't get any better when...

Re: SDE article: How do PSB decide who remixes their songs
I hated almost all remixes that came out after 1991 apart from the PSB own mixes. It's been a crappy 30 years. I don't really care if they are in close contact with the dancefloor gurus.

Hey, Super - that's a really good album
I thought I was going to listen through some of the Price-material. Turns out I put on Super from start to end and this time I even liked Happiness a lot. I think it's a great album when listening through it, it puts you in a good mood, a little bit happy, not too euphoric though, just a tidy bit ha...

Re: Can you make Hotspot better?
Decide however really would have been an almighty closer as opposed to the unanimously considered crap of wedding in Berlin. Oh it’s “unanimous considered crap”?? Let’s stick to facts. Many fans do not consider it crap and enjoy it, such as myself. I think it’s crap. Yep, it's an experimental track...

Re: Your choices: the debut album that might have been ...
Greetings, I wouldn't change Please. I'm sure they knew what they were doing, holding off certain tracks until they were ready and able to do them justice. I absolutely love In The Night, moreso than at least half the songs off Please, but I think it coming to the fore in its extended form as the l...

Re: Your choices: the debut album that might have been ...
Ok here it is. This is what the early years should've been like. I base the track listings of songs recorded on Geowayne's list. The first album would've been less electronic than the others. The two first albums would've disappeared into obscurity. The 1985-album less so. Camden 1984 1. All my wast...
