Re: 2 albums?

Do greatest hits albums still exist? Are we talking about physical CD’s sold in supermarkets? Isn’t a ‘greatest hits’ tour almost a marketing exercise in selling tickets (most likely for a series of headline festival shows - Glastonbury perhaps?). A greatest hits show would be a massive draw for neu...

Re: The best cultural thing PSB have ever done?

Either the Performance show or the Savoy show - specifically the two accompanying films by Sam Taylor Wood. Loved how they kept stepping in and out of them.

Re: PSB at Glastonbury !

I was yelling at the TV for ‘Getting Away with It’, but then remembered they were all on stage at the Royal Albert Hall and they didn’t do it then either.

My wife’s favourite band and my fav band playing together on the weekend of our wedding anniversary. Nice touch boys!

Re: Today I listened to Elysium for the first time since 2012...

I was flagging a bit by Elysium - and I thought that we had both run our course. Especially when I had to visit about a dozen shops trying to find the double CD (which was just a set of disapoointing instrumentals) When I first heard it - It sounded like a record contract filler I just didn't get it...

Re: Where is the oddest public place you've heard a PSB song?

I took the family to the ArcelorMittal Orbit at the Olympic Park in London today and was pleasently surprised to hear the Elysium album being played.

It was nice to hear Breathing Space before plummeting down the world highest and longest tunnel slide!

Re: Name the next Pet Shop Boys album

“binary”

If we are making a choice this to be a seems to be a very 2019/PSB word.

I've never heard that ILTR demo before - where/when was that made available?

Are there more demo versions (other than those not on FL?

Re: Reissues project

I don't get it either. I've got a 15hr PSB Further Listening FULL playlist via Apple Music playing through my desktop iMac speakers and it sounds perfect - infinity better than the record player that I played the 12" West End Girls on in 1986. I've never understand the selling point of getting up to...

Re: New EP in April: Agenda

Thanks for moving the political stuff - I get that there is a relevance to the EP's subject matter, but it's not why I'm on this forum. This is my escape from all that - I'd much rather discuss the much-missed Shep Pettibone remixes of the late 80's.

Re: New EP on April: Agenda

My thoughts are that it feels 50% Trump Family Separation Policy/Migrant border crossings and 50% Nic Roeg's Don't Look Now.

I guess we'll have to wait until Super Further Listening or Neil's next lyric book for the inspiration.

Re: New EP on April: Agenda

I was wondering what people's thoughts are on trickling out the new album tracks like this. I've really enjoyed getting to know each song individually and then seeing them come together as a whole. I guess people would have the option of pre-listening or waiting until the final day and listening to ...

And it has the third PBS song mention of the word 'Football'. (DJ Culture & Sexy Northerner).
Fourth, maybe? ("On social media" also uses the f-word)
Yes I stand corrected. It is mentioned in OSM. Those lyrics haven’t sunk in yet!
