Re: Australian News Roundup

What Oz cities have they played so far? Discovery tour included all the state capitals i.e. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, plus Canberra and Newcastle. Fundamental came via the V Festival and included Sydney, Gold Coast, Melbourne & Adelaide. Pandemonium was limited to one New Yea...

Re: Australian News Roundup

This Guardian review is much more on the money, and is surely having a dig at the Herald review in the last paragraph when he says that "this show is all about the music".

Re: Australian News Roundup

It was indeed a fantastic show, and the crowd really seemed to be into it. It was a sold out performance so I assume there were 1500 or so people there. The venue is not huge and it certainly felt pretty packed. Here is a somewhat odd review of the show in this morning's Sydney Morning Herald. Altho...

Re: Australian News Roundup

A nice 2 page article in the Sydney Morning Herald Spectrum section today. Nothing new but nice to see them getting a bit of publicity in the lead up to Vivid. Here is the online version: http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/pet-shop-boys-on-new-album-electric-and-30-years-of-making-music-20140515-38...

Re: Pet Shop Boys and the Eurovision Song Contest

I love Eurovision (possibly for all the wrong reasons) but I would not want to see the boys perform. On the other hand I have no problem with them writing the UK song to be performed by another artist. And goodness knows the UK desperately needs a half decent song!

It seems that both the Friday and Saturday shows are now sold out, but still no sign of tickets for the Sunday show.

Re: Australia

Here is the answer to the "general admission" question, taken from the Ticketmaster website: My tickets say "GENADM" but have a row and seat number on them - what does this mean? The reason a row and seat number appear on your ticket is so we can determine the exact number of tickets that have been ...

Re: Australia

Re: Australia

I'll be there with bells on, wouldn't miss it for the world! Tickets for the Friday gig supposedly go on sale tomorrow (Thursday) at 10:00am, according to the Carriageworks website. I don't know why the tickets for Saturday & Sunday are not going on sale as well (or perhaps they are, who knows). Tic...

Re: Australia

This article confirms the three gigs, and that capacity for each is only 1500! This is looking very interesting indeed. Sadly it also seems to confirm that these are the only Aussie dates. http://performing.artshub.com.au/news-article/news/performing-arts/three-days-of-electro-light-music-artists-pe...

Re: Australia

According to the Vivid website there is only one gig on the 6th June, which contradicts the official site claiming 3 concerts. It's a real shame they aren't doing the Opera House. The bloody Pixies (of all people) got that gig!
