Please take extreme care on emails from administration @ petshopboys-forum .com !!!!!!!!!!!
In the last days I recognise some emails about Tickets for PSB@ROH which I THINK could be a money trap. After we have to hold this email open for user requests and alerts via the contact link (at the...
I know yesterday (13th March) was the first time a new PSB track had been played in ages, but (as per the long standing forum rules) in future all public requests for copies of any new track, PSB or otherwise, will be deleted and/or threads containing requests closed. We will officially...

Thank you for the link leesmapman. I was already aware of them and found the last one does not include the first song they played (the Blur song Girls and Boys (PSB Remix)). For some reason it has been omitted from the youtube recording hence why I asked if anyone has their own recording.
Please post times, dates, channels, etc here so forum users don't miss out.
Please try not to drift into conversation in this thread as key posts may get missed.

There’s been a couple of things I’ve watched this week that have featured PSB songs. West End Girls and In the Night are played on the second series of BBC Sitcom The Power of Parker. On Netflix there’s a new horror Movie Fear Street: Prom Queen. The film is set in 1988, and has a soundtrack of 80s...
Usually even video clips will have the names of the actors in a video somewhere.....like on IMDB
But I could not find the name of the actor who plays the NYC boy in the PSB NYC Boy video.
I thought...this guy probably has a nice little acting career and I wanted to see what else he has done......

Freddie Finlay. I went to school with him. He left early. I think he’d been a child actor.
This guy? He'd be about 16 in the New York city boy video.
Pet Shop Boys will headline a very special event in Berlin on June 28, playing a 40-minute set.
The event, “This Is Navalny”, will also include performances by Russian musicians incl. the duo @aigelband, the singer @grechkalu and classical musicians, as well as a live meeting with Yulia...
Considering how great the PSB music is, I am surprised that there is so few officially released (and easily accessible) instrumental versions of their songs.
Even what does exist is hard to get. Yes was only on that vinyl set and Nonetheless was not even officially released at all.
We do have...

Isn't it possible with modern tech to de-vocalise songs? I've seen examples of it on YouTube by fans uploading songs of their favourite groups so you can sing along to the instrumentals. It's not perfect. I used it for my Nirvana/Pet Shop Boys mashup and there's some slight distortion here and...

The official store is a disgrace. My request for Discography came to me with the cover completely deteriorated. It's an expensive enough order to arrive in those conditions. Returning it for a refund cost me to pay for shipping when the product was in poor condition. Still, I returned it and...
In light of recent government advice in relation to the ongoing situation and threat of COVID-19 globally, Pet Shop Boys’ Dreamworld tour can no longer commence as planned in May 2020 and the dates are being rescheduled. The European leg of the tour was...

Why does Setlist.fm insist on calling it “You were always on my mind (Gwen McCrae cover)” - drives me mad!
Because setlist.fm always insists that covers lead to the first released version. In case of Always On My Mind leads from PSB (1987) to Willie Nelson (1982) to Elvis (Oct. 1972) to Gwen...
As has previously been rumoured, PSB are the subject of one of the new BBC 'imagine...' documentaries by Alan Yentob.
Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe are the most successful duo in UK Music history. They have sold more than 50 million records, produced over 40 Top 40 singles, four...

Oh my, the full documentary is 1 and a half hour, the Arte edit is half that time.
Probably the same version of it that was shown on Irish tv a few weeks ago, that was an hour including ad breaks.
I think I'm in love... this has been on repeat all afternoon. Yes, it's slight, inconsequential, b-side material. But dear God, is it an off-kilter, highly unusual earworm crying out for a much longer remix.
What is said in the background at 2:32, anyone make it out? Big Boy ? Sounds like Chris?

Well played, Mr. ea39!
Y'know, I can actually HEAR her voice doing this. I think we're long overdue for a Neil'n'Kate duet. :) What have I wrought? Love the pics. Should have seen the wordplay potential.
But, yeah, it's easy imagining her intoning the words, isn't it? Like a daffy incantation.
I wouldn't normally start a thread about this but I have been trying for several days to get a refund for DreamWorld and have Annually posted. I paid for both of these months ago via the official store but have got nothing to show for it and no responses to any emails. Is anyone else in the same...

Thanks all. Some good ideas there. I will contact them tomorrow and hope the ball starts rolling (how's that for an obscure one?)
Pet Shop Boys today release a new dance mix of “Hymn (In memoriam Alexei Navalny)”, a song dedicated to his memory and cause, which was originally released in February 2025.
The new version, in which Neil quotes extracts from Navalny’s prison letters and his book “Patriot”, is now...

It'd be embarrassing if someone tried to exonerate someone from that list just because of the ol' WeStErN mEdIa iS fAkE nEwZ trope.
Neil's been critical of the Catholic Church, Blair, USA, Trump (and the West generally) quite a lot, I'd say!
But yeah, he could have added around a thousand extra...

Does anyone know if they can still be found?

Yeah, I remember Victorin’s videos – they were truly something special. Sadly, most of his uploads seem to have vanished over the years. I think some were taken down due to copyright, and others just got lost when old accounts disappeared. Maybe someone here saved a few offline?
''I hope you don't mind if I go on at some length about this one. This gentle midtempo song evolved from a number that the Boys had previously been working on called How Lucky I Am. It's written from the viewpoint of an imaginary 18-year-old boy who goes to a rock concert, meets the male star...

Myself (Graham) and Dog (Chris) have made the brave (or foolish!) move to record a series of Pet Shop Boys fan podcasts.

Another fantastic episode - but (like Mr Lowe) Chris seems very hard to please! :-)
Legendary PWL producer/remixer Phil Harding chats about his work with PSB during the Tom Watkins era in the latest 80sography episode (first 20 mins), including the song he didn’t get a credit for, why Pete Waterman turned down West End girls (thank god he did), and how Neil caved in to house....

Second single off the Hidden Cameras upcoming album is out today, Undertow (no, not that one!) - another fantastic song. Vince Clark remix to be released in July! I like it, too! Liking How do you love as well, I'm getting more and more interested in the album ( Bronto ), coming Sept 12, apparently.
This 2/3 August, London will play host to “Pet Shop Boys, fanatically” - an exciting full-on fan weekend, celebrating over 40 years of Pet Shop Boys, complete with music, dancing - and a first-of-its kind walking tour, hosted by Chris from the In Depth podcast...

I'm going to sound like a Points Of View letter writer (it's an old UK TV show for those who don't know)

Greetings,
I suspect they did the original demo with Andrew Dawson, knew it wasn't quite there yet, and put it back on the shelf.
Then they recorded it with Stuart Price, took it as far as they could, and were happy with the end product - solid, but knowing it was never going to rock the charts....
I was listening to some of the KLF’s tracks (they are back on YouTube with a brand new page) and I noticed some of the voices of “Last train to Trancentral” sound like the dialogue on “We came from outer space”... so I was thinking about “Relentless” being the PSB doing the KLF. What do you think...

There's no doubt in my mind that they should have released this instead of the risible Dudes - does anyone love that song?

As been mentioned there’s been plenty already and when I contacted Mark Farrow a few months ago he said there would be more since 1984 items available sometime this year so guess we need to wait until it’s announced. My guess there may be some available at the upcoming concerts this summer.
There is another thread about Loneliness but it's more oriented about the song but I think is better to have another thread about the b-sides. Well, they are two proper songs.

I also question the ability to meaningfully cover multiple songs per page, but if anyone can distill analysis like that, Wayne can. The RW one is something like 500 tracks in 160 pages, which is just insanity.
