Thank you for the link leesmapman. I was already aware of them and found the last one does not include the first song they played (the Blur song Girls and Boys (PSB Remix)). For some reason it has been omitted from the youtube recording hence why I asked if anyone has their own recording.
Wondering if anyone is up on this "genre" and if so, if they can recommend a couple albums that are good? It seems like this genre is a mashup of new wave synths and My Bloody Valentine shoegaze?

I've finally gotten around to exploring the albums of OMD during the past couple of weeks, having only been aware of maybe a half dozen of their hits beforehand. I'm starting to wonder why Erasure are considered to be the "brother" group of PSB whereas OMD seem to have a closer sound in many ways....

Anyone here into it? It seems extremely New Order-y to me. I first heard it in the Kmart Layaway commercial, and thought, what is this huge sounding 80's synth track I've never heard?
In terms of quality as well as popularity, obviously the top 2 are the US and UK. I think US artists have sold more worldwide, but only as they have a much larger population to draw artists from. Per capita its UK fo' sho', plus the quality that comes from there is something the US can't match....

As for writing and producing, that's a tough call. Its a generic enough argument I'm making that's very hard to prove one way or the other, with tons of variables, I was mainly just thinking of bands and musicians. If PSB's version of Numb sold 10 million, I'd think of it more as a British...

Bought the new Killers album today. I'm up to track 9 on my first listen and it's pretty good so far. Production is nice. Has more synths that I was expecting. The Killers have this ability to teeter on making music I wouldn't ever listen to, and yet, they keep it in this cultural wish-wash land....
