Home and Dry Extended Mix

#1 Post by Palpatine » Sat 24 Mar 2012, 11:08 pm

Does anyone know anything about the Home and Dry (Extended Mix) 4:58 done by Chris Zippel. It's on a studio CD-R with the Zippel radio edit of E-Mail and the extended mix of SEB. Has it ever leaked (note to moderators: I'm not asking for anything other than information)?

That's not an official mix. Sounds good though but it's home made.

The Chris Zippel mix leaked yes. I have an MP3 of it, downloaded it in the good "old" days of Megaupload and Rapidshare.

I've always wanted an extended mix as it sounds like Johnny Marr has more to say as his guitar fades out...
is there one?

If it has more guitar? Perhaps I should compare them some day but this mix has no fade out it's a cold ending.

It's a little smoother without the drums

Wow, are you sure? For a "home made" mix, someone must have gotten ahold of all the parts of the track. I know the acapella exists, but this mix clearly has all other pieces of the song. It's a really brilliant extended mix and sounds great and certainly official.

Thanks for the find!

It's not official. The official extended mix is 4 mins 58 secs. and it was done by Chris Zippel.

All parts where released for a competition and the winner would have there track produced but this never happened there are over 100 versions of Home and Dry I like the Barracuda Remix.
They make a little go along way.. very Minimal but Fundamental.

The "Rare Extended Mix" is apparently mixed by Sergio David Villafañez - according to this list: http://www.psb-catalogue.com/fanrx.htm

Very well done, actually.
