Stately, resigned grandeur = Invisible.

Carpet-bombing innocent civilians = Legacy.

I love all 3 co-write tracks, which to me are the standout efforts. Pandy is still a worthy addition to their canon. I put it in the 'Heart' category.. intelligent throwaway pop.

Can't abide AOTW. BP, KOR, BAW, LEG

However a YES compilation of LETC, PAN, ATE, MTAD, TFET, U&D, MAD, The way it used to be.. oops .. run out after 8 tracks... perhaps that says somthing

Their best album since Fundamental. A bit of a pedantic answer but it's how i see it. Fundamental was stronger overall but Yes had more classics, a word that can't really be used since 1993.

Yes is like how LP's used to be years ago, Two sides with 'A' being the best songs and 'B' being the fillers. A little hit and miss. Love etc and The Way It Used To Be are two of their finest ever moments. That's some achievement 20 - 25 years after five untouchable albums.

Then you get All Over The World and Pandemonium. How the latter wasn't a single i do not know.

Let's not forget After The Event. One of their greatest B-Sides.

They had no choice on Sodom. Blame EMI.
I know. Sod 'em :)

With the exception of Legacy, a big Yea! Still listen to it frequently and agree that it's the best thing since Very...and quite honestly, close to as good as it as well IMO.

My opinion on 'Yes' hasn't changed since I heard it for the first time: It's a great album, in some ways their best.
I just listen to PSB a lot less in general nowadays, which doesn't make them or their music worse. After being a fan for 25 years I can still appreciate what they do without listening to them in the car, while cleaning the house, in the club etc.

Still one of my fav albums.

King of Rome, The way it used to be, L Etc., Did you see me coming? are fab tracks..

Though I still can't bring myself to Legacy (as Drico described it aptly), AOTW and Pandemonium: I just cant stand as they sound very pompous to me, with flimsy lyrics.

Now if they'd swapped out "Did you see me coming" (forgettable whiny pop-fluff) for "This used to be the Future" (Oakey-duetting industrial splendidness) we would truly have had "wide-ranging" pop perfection.

Always loved Yes. I'm just about to go for a long walk in my area and I have a hankering for Yes. I do think though that Love Etc is a bit overrated and Beautiful People is vastly underrated. You'll probably think I'm crazy.

Not at all. I don't like Love etc. I thought it was the second poor lead off single in a row.
