How many times did Jessie J drop her knickers, to get as many shots as she did?

Spice Girls - oh dear God! Although the whole thing could have been redeemed if Mel C had worn a skirt. But, alas, it wasn't to be. :(

Kate Bush - nice track, but went on too long.

Annie Lennox -over the top.

The 'Fashion' segment - what the f*** was that all about?!
I get the feeling the musical director wanted Bowie, couldn't get him, but decided to shoehorn him in, at whatever cost to the credibility of the show.

Why have the Kaiser Chiefs singing a track by The Who, when The Who were already going to perform?

George Michael - I personally think people should lay off him for singing White Light, but his dance moves were laughable.

The opening ceremony was truly fantastic, but this was truly awful.
Kaiser Chiefs were probably there because they couldn't get Status Quo. KC are just a modern version. Both absolute utter dross. If you own one song, there is no need to buy anymore.

Were the Stones played? I can't remember. Where were Dire Straits? They only sold 6 million albums in the 1980's. I can't remember hearing Genesis/ Collins either. Not my cup of tea but worthy of a slot. Same with Elton John. Unless they passed me by.

The Chuckle Brothers were meant to do Gimme Shelter with the Stones but Jessie J's c*ck scared them off.

No Stones played. Same with Elton John. Genesis were kind of represented by Mike Rutherford; although it wasn't a Genesis track that was performed.

Elton was initially very much involved, but (as per usual) got upset over something or other and flounced.

Sounds like typical Elton. Though, in a way, I'm glad he wasn't involved.

Pet Shop Boys in the American living room: http://www.keek.com/BuBbY_lovesyou/keeks/qzbtaab

Scary to think what comments played out across the nation in those 3 minutes. Strange to think someone on my own block probably was watching PSB on their TV.
And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'

The version played at the ceremony was indeed the fake Jeff Lynne version.

Thanks to the Closing Ceremony the boys have 2 singles and 2 albums in the top 200 this week:

Singles:
125. (RE) WEST END GIRLS (Pet Shop Boys)
160. (86) WINNER (Pet Shop Boys)

Albums:
126. (RE) DISCOGRAPHY - THE COMPLETE SINGLES COLLECTION (Pet Shop Boys)
183. (RE) ULTIMATE (Pet Shop Boys)

Surprised to see WInner still in the top 200 to be honest. Does anyone else find it slightly disappointing that while most of the closing ceremony artists managed top 40 singles or albums, PSB could only manage top 200? Poor old David Bowie doesn't appear to have made the top 200 at all, which is rather surprising.
But it feels like the flight
Of the von Trapps, does that mean it's war?
