Less is More - the next album
Less is More - the next album
I would be very excited by another Introspective. And NOT just because it is behind Danny Baker's head on his BBC4 show this evening (with Boy George)
You could argue that Elysium would have made a perfect 10 track album - and there is something about the FOCUS of a 6 - track extended mixes album is what PSB need to do now - obviously with single mixes for the radio, but not on the album
It could include:
1) Leaving (Side by Side)
2) Vocal
3) Axis
4) Ball starts rolling
5) In my imagination or Colour of a man (a cover based on their remix, but featuring Joel Gibb)
6) Streets Of Philidelphia
Wow! (Not that I've ACTUALLY heard most of it!

I want a new album with all-new-songs like they said in Literally.Tom Angel wrote:I would be very excited by another Introspective. And NOT just because it is behind Danny Baker's head on his BBC4 show this evening (with Boy George)

Woah, Ok, ok, it's ok. Calm down. Sorry to suggest it. You will see that 5 of those songs ARE new. I see what Neil and Chris are up against now!nickname wrote:I want a new album with all-new-songs like they said in Literally.Tom Angel wrote:I would be very excited by another Introspective. Re: Less is More - the next album
I'd really prefer not to have an Introspective Part 2. But, even if that were the case, it shouldn't have to follow the rule of one remixed track, one extended b side or whatever.

Re: Less is More - the next album
I just hope it doesn't sound like their remixes.
Whilst their remixes are serviceable, it would sound too much like Disco 4 (i.e. OK in themselves, but not particularly exciting as an album)

Yeah a new album.
And a disco focus.
Only thing is, I don't want them to feel tied to making an "official" album, since they seem to be rushing this one. So a Disco seems more likely.

I couldn't disagree with you more.retrofuturist wrote:I just hope it doesn't sound like their remixes.

Leaving is amazing, but their remix takes into colossal Frankie goes to Hollywood territory

Re: Less is More - the next album
Greetings,
PSB remixes generally have a certain sameness about them, which makes them dull when strung together.
Retro.
That why if PSB pick up your earlier mention suggestion to QA material with the fans prior to release, I hope they don't pick you to do it.Tom Angel wrote:I couldn't disagree with you more.

Disco is dead.
Re: Less is More - the next album
'Less is More' - an EP immediately springs to mind. EPs are kind of noble.
