I suppose a track which is playlisted on "B list" has no chance of being playlisted on "A list" the next weeks. :(

I don't know if it can happen or not and I don't what it depends on.

Leaving was B-listed in its first week but moved up to the A list the following week. That said, my gut feeling is Thursday will stay B-listed. When you consider the A list currently features the likes of Status Quo, Celine Dion and James Blunt, an upbeat pop anthem featuring a trendy rapper isn't likely to fit. I'm not surprised at all. Together was B-listed and Radio 2 asked for the lead synth line to be quietened - not that it's really noticeable.

It's pretty obvious Love is a bourgeois construct was chosen ahead of Thursday because it's a classic PSB record and Radio 2 loves classic PSB. It was absolutely played to death, to the point where people I knew were actually aware there was a new PSB single out - and that hasn't happened for ages. Thursday was never going to follow suit on radio - although I hope I'm wrong. With a bit of luck it may get some exposure on TV; the Pet Text saying Neil and Chris will be back in the UK in time for the release suggests they may get to perform it somewhere.

Mercifully Neil & Chris have infinitely better taste than you.

Yes and they hated Rock´n´roll. A few years later they lauched "Release".
Please tell me how exactly does Release fit under the description "rock 'n' roll".

No no no no no no no no. Love is a bourgeois construct is for hardcore lunatics and intellexual fans. Thursday is for casual everybody and other planets too. PSB should perform Thursday live in a space station with Justin Bieber, Simon Cowell and ET for all universe to see. I sell my sister to white slavery for PSB get a top 40 hit in UK.

Reading Robbie Williams is gutted that he's being ignored by Radio 1. The last time he was playlisted was when he was a featured artist on Dizzie Rascal's Goin' Crazy. I think with Thursday, PSB did it the wrong way round. Maybe Example should have written most of the song, and PSB write the music and the chorus "It's Thursday night, lets get it right...", and it would be Example feat. Pet Shop Boys.

This song literally needs to chart in the top 40 midweeks at least (like Leaving) before it gets played once, then perhaps never be heard on the station again.
This is a song about boys and girls. You hear it playing all over the world.

"I get along" and the B side "I didn't get where I am today" are rock'n'roll songs.

So Neil apparently realises, "you don't know what you got till its gone", seeing as it was from February 2009 before PSB's last top 20 hit?

Its a shame now, I think some of us now actually have a genuine question to put forward to Neil Tennant about his stance on reality TV and the stars it produces. Has his stance changed at all since what he said about Simon Cowell 4 years ago?

They might be a bit non-PSB-like, easy listening songs, but never would I call such basic pop music as rock'n'roll.

Pet Shop Boys do not make rock music. That's the best thing about them.

Hilarious. These songs clearly aren't RnR at all.
