I really like this track. That said I haven't played it for years. Gonna dig it up tomorow. Thanks for reminding me.

Screaming, Winner and The sound of the atom splitting have received less than 5 listens total in my house. They're that bad. And I only gave Screaming & Winner 2 listens days apart just to make sure I wasn't dead and in Hell. Thankfully - I was neither. Alas, I fear whoever greenlighted Screaming for inclusion on the soundtrack can't say the same...
I like it here ~~ wherever it is ...

And I don't get why the f*** it was included in the soundtrack (???) If I am right, it wasn't even in the film itself

It was. It was playing in the background of a bar scene (or something similar)

The complete title of the album is "Psycho: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture". See: inspired by. It's a common practise in Hollywood to get big names to feature on the soundtrack, but it would be difficult for scheduling reasons and annoying for the director to somehow cram 14 pop songs into his film without turning it into a musical. So this "inspired by" provides them a get-out clause from complaints about some songs not being heard in the movie.

Really? I thought it wasn't in the film.

I'm almost certain of it. Although it was a blink and miss it type scene. You don't hear much of it as it's just on in the background.

Neil once said about Screaming... "and the paycheque was good".

This is correct. I've always loved the Psycho version of Screaming because of this reason...no random voice samples thrown in! So much better. Love Screaming. Classic paranoid PSB track with pop goodness.
