Heartening to see the amount of Elysium tracks that are getting picked. I still believe it's more enjoyable than Electric and Super.

Too difficult to choose only five so I'm choosing ten:

1. The dictator decides
2. Axis
3. Burn
4. Love is a bourgeois construct
5. A face like that
6. Through the woods (extended)
7. Invisible
8. Leaving
9. A cloud in a box
10. Memory of the future

So thrilled to see someone choose "Bolshy" as their #1 pick, as I'd probably agree too! I love this track, especially the crazy middle bit! It also has a nice piano throughout too! Excellent...

So here's my top 5...

1.) Bolshy
2.) The Pop Kids
3.) A Face Like That
4.) Together
5.) Axis

If it was a top 10, here's 6 - 10:

6.) Odd Man Out
7.) One Night
8.) Glad All Over
9.) Burn
10.) The Clock 10/11/12

Yeah, I quite like their cover of "Glad All Over" & the bit at the end where it speeds up is great! Everyone I've played it to also think it's great & shame it was buried as a b-side. I also like "The Clock 10/11/12" too, from "The Most Incredible Thing". This is the part where they read out a list of famous names. I've always liked this track from the TMIT score.

My favourite remix of this period (2010-2016), is probably the Grum Remix of "West End Girls", followed by "Vocal" (Drop Jackson Mix).

I love the Vocal (drop jackson remix) too, but I'd have to say say it to me (real lies mix) and winner (happysad mix) would also be up there.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

I also agree those 2 mixes are great too! Also, some of JCRZ's remixes from this period have been good too, especially his "Brick England" one. The original version is good, but the JCRZ remix makes it even better.

I forgot to say what my Top 5 least favourite tracks are, so they are!:

1.) Love Is A Bourgeios Construct: Never felt the love for this one, I always tend to skip it on "Electric" after the superb double-punch of "Axis" & "Bolshy" (which I both love). This one though is far too long & just sounds like PSB-by-numbers etc.
2.) I Cried For Us
3.) Hold On
4.) Oppressive (The Best Gay Possible)
5.) Give It A Go

The worst remix from this period (2010 - 2016) has go to be the Kernel Kovacs remix of "Twenty Something", which is just awful & as bad as the E-Smoove mixes of "Liberation" from 1994.

I do also love PSB's remix of "The Colour Of A Man" by The Hidden Cameras too, which I thought was from 2010, but is actually from 2009 (according to Geowayne's site). Still great though!...

I agree that Leaving is an absolute rock solid classic. One of their best songs easily. I have recently reassessed Vocal. It took about 3 years to realise what a beautiful song it was. "Aspirations for a better life are ordained" and that synth crescendo playing over it is one of those wonderful psb moments. Together is a song that gets forgotten but is actually rather extraordinary. Brave and heartfelt, the instrumental version reveals its true beauty.

My top 5 from 2010 to 16 (and this is very difficult):

Winner (only joking )

Leaving
Memory of the future
Love is a bourgeois construct
Thursday
Twenty-something

1. Leaving - For all the reasons covered throughout this thread. Haunting melancholy at its perfection. Drico had this to say
Above all, it radiates life-affirming hope and a reason to go on. Magnificent
but I suppose that depends on your outlook on life and/or your past, because I feel it radiates a feeling of defeat and desperation.

Love is a Bourgeois Construct - kind of hits all cylinders of a PSB song, right? Over the top, ridiculousness, but also poignant, touching and honest. Fantastic production as well.

Inside a Dream - I'm really glad they put this into the set this tour. Great song, and that freaking groovy beat. I think of being in a dark club/room with this on.

Undertow - I love how this one really tells the story of feelings, and I can see it play out.

Memory of the Future (Stuart Price extended mix) - Its taken me all of my life to find you.

Face Like That - "Standing so near me, You put the fear of God in me - Felt like the town was falling down, and there you were"
did you see me coming?

The KK mix of twenty something should be encased in concrete and dumped at the bottom of the north sea forevermore.

It's such a brilliant track. I usually play it again when I play Electric.
