Pet Shop Boys tour programme "Roundels"?

#1 Post by Marie loves PSB »

Morning, I was wondering what all the "Roundels" on the tour programme mean please? I thought they were all the countries flags that they have visited on this tour. Am I right or it is just "a design"? I have an idea  to whether I could convert them into cross-stitch or not. I've not been able to cross-stitch in years as my eyes "jump". - (Nystagmus). But, the patterns are small and not too disturbing for me. I need a hobby badly!

The design would have looked good on a double duvet! 8)

Hi, yes, each country they have ever performed in is represented in the program by a "roundel". I really like the design, too (although I feel like the blue field of the one for the US could have been leavened with a small white disc or a few thin white circles so that the stars were represented). I hope your project comes out well! The roundels are indeed very appealing and should look nice!

It's all about wonder. The power to be like thunder, expressing electricity.

Come on Marie, do it - make the duvet cover - you know you want to!
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|

If PSB are getting into homewares, I wouldn't mind a couple of Introspective cover cushions!
you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

Welcome to the message board! :D Thank you for your help on what the roundels mean and for hoping my project comes out well. :D I quite like the roundels too but, like you mention one or maybe two (I think) could have done with a very little tweak. I'm happy to try to sew them. It keeps me out of trouble.

Lol..... I don't think I am that good at making things - to make a duvet cover. It would take me forever and ever.

You need to find someone that could knit them for you! It is possible as my mum knitted me an Introspective waist coat.

Picked it up about five years ago believe it or not from some random textile shop in Basingstoke UK. I wanted to hide away my massive CD collection but still have it accessable, loved the design so put it up.

I've also started to see coloured dot motifs appear in some stores now on bags and such. The same thing happened with the Electric chevrons shortly after the album was released. The dollar stores have tons of paper gift bags with chevrons on now...only a matter of time before they turn to circles methinks.
