Re: Pet Shop Boys say NO to Brexit
How much will this sad little march cost in policing? Who will pay for this unecessary bill? We are seeing this afternoon how important it is not to tie up emergency services.

Apparently Neil is coordinating Remain Aid to help raise vital funds for the champagne socialists, virtue signallers, and snowflakes most affected by the vote.

Re: Pet Shop Boys say NO to Brexit
I'm not "hard left", I've never even voted Labour.
I don't like champagne.
Not sure how I, or most people who can see the benefits of the European institutions, fit the insults being thrown about. It seems to me mostly centrist people to be honest, not extremists of any kind.
The worry is it's now not just the EU…
We're now set to leave ECJ, ECHR, Single Market, Customs union, Council of Europe, Euratom, free skies agreement… on and on… we are "leaving Europe" not just the EU, whether that is what people voted for or not…

I'm going to find out how much the policing will cost then will drive a bus next to the march with a sign reading "This money could have funded our NHS" and will wait to see the faces of the idiots protesting.Undertaker wrote: ↑Wed 22 Mar 2017, 4:00 pm How much will this sad little march cost in policing? Probably won't go ahead now though due to what has happened, yet again another "incident". Time to change our facebook profile to the Union Jack flag perhaps?

Re: Pet Shop Boys say NO to Brexit
No, DEFINITELY a lot less than staying in. It really amazes me that people see the EU as some major success story and act as though we can't survive without it! Total and utter nonsense. It is a massive failure that is taking us down with it and is nothing to do with the free trade zone we voted to join back in 1975, it is now a political weapon run by Germany and has nothing to do with our best interests whatsoever, however us being independant does mean we can finally prioritise our best interests and it has been a long time coming.Undertaker wrote: ↑Wed 22 Mar 2017, 6:24 pmProbably a lot less than staying in.daveid wrote: ↑Wed 22 Mar 2017, 5:45 pmMore importantly how much will Brexit cost?Undertaker wrote: ↑Wed 22 Mar 2017, 4:00 pm How much will this sad little march cost in policing? Why do we need to hear what PSB think on this issue, when we have you geniuses!
Re: Pet Shop Boys say NO to Brexit
It isn't a massive success story. Never said it was. But it's a hell of a lot better than the alternative...if there is one. Incidentally we didn't vote to join in 1975. We voted to stay in. The government voted to join in 1972 and had no expert input from the great British public.JSDOUVRES wrote: ↑Wed 22 Mar 2017, 6:35 pmNo, DEFINITELY a lot less than staying in. Re: Pet Shop Boys say NO to Brexit
Can't agree with either of you. Brexit is fraught with danger. Staying in the EU also had drawbacks. However, there is little evidence produced following the vote that the UK economy will be better out of the EU market and an announcement yesterday that inflation is overtaking pay increases......all economically predicted given sterlings 15% reduction in value since the vote.
This forum isn't the place to debate the future but take a look at these true facts....as opposed to trumpism facts!
Re: Pet Shop Boys say NO to Brexit
Sterling was valued way too high which was affecting our global effectiveness and trading. So it's beneficial that it's dropped. It makes exports far more competitive; Anyway, each to their own. Although your 'True Facts' are speculative opinion, not Facts.

Re: Pet Shop Boys say NO to Brexit
There is delicious irony in pro-Remainers calling Leave voters 'stupid', while simultaneously conflating Europe (the geographical and cultural entity) with the EU (the undemocratic free-market economic club)
Re: Pet Shop Boys say NO to Brexit
Better than the alternative? What, of having full freedom and sovereignty returned to us, the ability to trade with the world on our own terms with our own best interests at heart with the ability to control our borders and choose who comes here. What are you on about? We don't need the undemocratic EU to be a success, quite why or how people can have such faith in the EU and so little faith in our own country shocks and amazes me frankly. If they really have such little faith then they should try moving to one of the many terribly failing EU nations that are taking us down and costing us billions of pounds a year, then maybe they would see te real "alternative".daveid wrote: ↑Wed 22 Mar 2017, 7:22 pmIt isn't a massive success story. Anyway, the referendum in 1975 was only "advisory" and so I want Briton to have the hundreads of billions of pounds we have payed for membership returned to us staright away, we never officially joined the EU so now time to get our full rebate. I imagine you agree with that?
Re: Pet Shop Boys say NO to Brexit
Apparently remainers only speak about "facts" whereas leavers only speak about "lies"! You couldn't make these simple minded people's views and attitudes up really could you? Hilarious! I'm just shocked that armageddon hasn't arrived yet, weren't the remainers promising it would do?Tom Angel wrote: ↑Wed 22 Mar 2017, 9:00 pm Sterling was valued way too high which was affecting our global effectiveness and trading.
