First impressions. Song not bad, but not at all what was expected and definitely not a single. Album title, awful. And seriously who writes a song called 'Willo the wisp'? Bit Ralph McTell.

Strange title choice. Maybe it will make sense in the context of listening to the whole album, but for now it sounds flat and meaningless, totally unrelated to the cover artwork. Very un-PSB in that sense. I can't believe they ran out of ideas.

Maybe Hotspot is meant to be the opposite to a chill party? Like a place where you relax after all the party and there reconnect with things that matter the most. There's even a wedding in Berling at the end of the album to close the "Berlin Trilogy"...

New track "Burning the heather" up on PSB YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/user/petshopboys

Oh dear, it's Release 2, very underwhelming
And at the end/ Your funny Uncle staring / At all your friends / With military bearing

Wasn‘t this one a remix of the wedding march they performed for friends, who married in Berlin, actually?
A blues would be in B flat, pain defining wisdom,
but the soul is in the high hat, programmed in the system.

As I wrote before I think that he's referring to the migrant hotspots.

Those of us of a certain vintage will recall Willow The Wisp.. I'm guessing Chris was a fan...

I hope it IS downbeat. I'm happy for the banging and lasers to be mothballed for a decade.

I think i like the title. Although I think the German word - I forget - for exit would have been better.

Burning the heather is a great title

I don't wanna.. Really Neil??

But I love the cover and am hoping for a more electronic Release with less references to Eminem!

If you thought the album title, track titles and Burn the heather's sound were unexpected, Hotspot will be PSB's 2nd 4-years album, after Fundamental: 1986-1987-1988-1990-1993-1996-1999-2002-2006-2009-2012-2013-2016-2020
