Final results of poll on the most "Erasuresque" PSB single

The final results are in for my poll of the past week, in which I asked my site visitors to pick the Pet Shop Boys single that they consider to be the most "Erasuresque" -- that is, the most like Erasure. And the single that received the most votes was:

* "Was It Worth It?" picked by 12.0% of the voters.

To see the complete results, please visit my "Commentary" site at http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm and select one of the "Past Survey Results" options from the top navigation bar or click the appropriate link on my "What's New?" page.

My new poll for the week ahead should prove somewhat less controversial than my last few. I've listed my ten personal favorite Pet Shop Boys single b-sides, and I'm asking which of them are among your own personal favorites. So please take a moment to make your choices right there on my home page. And if it so happens that none of them are among your favorites, simply click the poll's "Submit" button without making any choices, which will result in the percentage figures for all of the songs being reduced appropriately.

Thanks to everyone who voted in last week's survey! And I hope you all have a superb week ahead!

I never thought Was It Worth It sounded like Erasure. Too chunky/dance. Too much production.

It wasn't my choice, either, but that's how a plurality of the voters felt. It was only 12%, but that's more votes than any of the other songs got. So there must be *something* to it.

I suspect the video may have something to do with it. I can't think of any PSB singles that sound like Erasure. Maybe Go West or Can you forgive her?? Love to Hate You is similar-ish.

I voted for Liberation. I could see it fitting into I Say I Say I Say with it's bubbly synths.
