I highly doubt they are expecting intelligent debate.

In which case they should have written another song about dancing.
They are well known for writing dance songs not specifically about dancing.
Cute. I wish I was as easily pleased as you. Rhyming 'way' with 'say' does not a protest song make, be it in the genre of dance music or otherwise.

Wow.

This is actually a bit shit.

Talk about conceited. I mean Neil, come on! He comes across as a complete t***. it's sneering and superior. I know best. The plebs are stupid for having different opinions to me.

And they've written better b-sides. Dead can dance is a million times better than this.

Chukka Umunna will like it.

I’m looking forward to hearing the other three songs.

You are reading too much into it.

It's about politics in general. Not precisely taking a side.

Yeah I agree it isn't a hit. I don't hate it though, it's topical in vibe without being too targeted - which was probably wise.... put down that brick, Tom Angel.

If anything the lyrics fit America more than UK, anyway.

Brexit folks can rest, til the next track.

An interesting one. Sounds like ABBA covering Roger Waters.

I think the point of it is to be funny and satirical, not a serious take on politics or an attempt at making a proper protest song. They're entertainers, after all.
Have a look at my taste in music:

That’s the thing about negative energy, about hatred. It can be positive. It throws into relief all the things you know you like. It tells you, by elimination, what you’re about. Sometimes you can only define yourself by what you hate. Hatred becomes an inspiration; it makes you think, “What I’m doing now I totally believe in, and I don’t care what other people say.” Guided by hatred, you don’t have to follow the herd. - Neil Tennant

It's really amazing. The other tracks will be released this week. It won't be on the new album.

A girl like cover of a PSB album/EP?, it's obvious they are talking about something they hate.

The song is listenable but it sounds like a demo/b-side. A lack of a proper chorus with the boring style of starting in the same way they finish the song. The lyrics are good but not surprising. It's like a new introduction for the new album to come. An unexpected move really.

I really believe PSB wanted to do something political and they saw a new album sith Stuart Price couldn't be a political thing but Brexit doesn't wait and they want to express their opinion about it.

What a funny song, I laughed all the way through. It helps that I love cynical humor.
And spot on too.

I'm relieved to hear Neil finally say the word "chicks" out in the open.

Also why didn't he say "Arse" instead of the American "Ass"..... I guess because half the song seems to be about America.

He could easily of pronounced "Class" as "Clarse", then rhymed it with "Arse". As a proper English gent would do, when not referring to an actual donkey?

It will take me a while to get my head around these important questions.
