I live just outside Edinburgh but actually don't have much interest in this, i wasn't that taken with Closer to Heaven to be honest (although i loved Shameless) so this doesn't really do it for me, glad the boys are branching out to the people who did enjoy cth though.
I've been a Teenager since before you were born.

Pet Shop Boys are to commit secondary career suicide in ill-advised Edinburgh drag show. Neil Tennant says "We were planning to release the third in our highly acclaimed trilogy of albums produced by Stuart Price but at the last minute decided to return to the scene of our career nadir of the late 90s and early naughties and alienate all the new found fans we've established since 2006" When asked about the next album Neil stated "Oh we can release that in a couple of years after touring Muzik. Closer to Heaven was such a defining moment in our career. The time just felt right to drag Billie out again to sing some new songs about sodomised sailors and the loneliness and glamour of remembered past glories. We are quite prepared to sacrifice all remaining credibility for our fabulous friend Frances." MUZIK will run from 5 to 24 August at Assembly Rooms followed by a 2 year world tour starting in Uzbekistan. Songs from MUZIK will be released as a special brown and pink dildo-shaped picture disc on Record Store Day 2020.

Some say you might be holding a grudge to make that all up.

Not at all. Just channelling what some on this forum probably think anyway. I doubt many are exactly thrilled at the return of BT. Bit like an 18 year old corpse suddenly saying "and another thing..."

PSB EDINBURGH MUSICAL SHOW

Surprising news for sure

It’s not a show for me though ... CTH was disappointing and I’m not over enthralled with Frances Barbers voice

Hoping we get to hear the new songs in demo format though as the CTH demos were decent
you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

What unexpected and wonderful news. I'm constantly amazed by how prolific they are, especially compared to other artists that started out in the 80s and that I still follow. Should be a fun show. I love Run Girl Run and maybe they will use that again. I've been wanting to visit Scotland for ages so maybe this will be time to go....

I really liked the musical, but I’m not overly excited about this. I thought the Billie character, whilst having a few funny lines, was a bit misplaced. They also retrospectively acknowledged that the script was the weakest part of C2H so I’m surprised they’re taking that risk again

But of course, I will look forward to the tracks, if they ever get a release

Ironically, some may use similar words about the Pet Shop Boys themselves.
