Rate "Dreamland"

The video lyrics:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RokbHjyPbyk

For me, the song is quite good (I told you "Dreamland" was going to be a good song). The only bad thing is the production. I like the bridges, the chorus is good (not sublime but good). The best of all is the youthful feeling of the song, Olly Alexander does a good job and he has a good voice. Neil's voice sounds still young, so it works perfectly in this song. By the way, the title says Pet Shop Boys feat Years and Years, not only Olly Alexander. If fact, it sounds more like a Years and Years song than a Pet Shop Boys song which it's not a bad thing. I really want PSB to sound youthful and fresh.

Greetings,

I gave it 5/10 in my review here so I'll do the same again now.

Retro. :)

7 for me, which means I enjoy it quite a bit but isn't one of those instant earworms that keep me humming and hearing it in my mind all the time.

I gave it 7. It's very catchy though, I still like it!

5 for me. Not great, not terrible. Catchy but pretty bland.

This song is is the 99th kernel of popcorn you ate 14 minutes into a movie; forgettable and indistinguishable.
I sincerely *love* Disco 2 and listen to it straight through regularly.

Rated a 2, a very weak and uninspiring track, even after several listens, if this is a track off the album that is deemed one of the strongest to be released as a single I have concerns about the album, don't like Stuart Price as a producer, "Electric" was all over the place and "Super" had some of the worst ever Pet Shop Boys tracks, didn't buy either of those, It might be I have reached the end of the line with Pet Shop Boys, then again, who knows, the album might actually be good.

As Nickname has said the production on the track is awful, truly awful.

Their worst single since "Winner".

Sorry boys.

Electric was brilliantly cohesive, critically acclaimed, and completely works as a whole.

Agree... Electric is very cohesive; did you mean Elysium? That’s all over the map.

100% agree. There are many things you can label Electric - 'all over the place' is not one of them. It's perhaps their most cohesive album yet.

Agreed, a 3 from me. Really enjoyed booth, Super and Agenda but this leaves me cold. Dont like the voice of the guess singer. The track in itself sounds bland and superficial with no real hook. Still have hopes for the album though.
