Ana Mantronic is playing a selection of PSB remixes now 12:40am

Edit: starts roughly about 20 minutes in to her show for those using catch up.

Such a fab mix, with a couple of tracks I'd not heard before. Shamefully I text the show, and got a shout out about 10 minutes later..!

New BBC Documentary

#8 Post by Tom Angel »

Moderator Note: Merged

Unless I've missed it there is this new (i think) BBC documentary here:

Unsure why no one else has posted it. They signed for 7 albums initially. With enough songs when they singed for 2 or 3 albums. god i love the early stuff! Haha.

And of course the blog - a love letter to pet shop boys here:

That's a few years old, but excellent nonetheless.

Great listen!

Didn’t know that Tom Watkins was pushing them to use Stock, Aitken and Waterman to produce the first album but the boys insisted on Stephen Hague

Imagine the timeline if SAW had got their mitts on the Please album!

Not sure we’d be here 35 odd years on chatting PSB
you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

Can you imagine? PSB would be reduced to a 5 minute slot on the Story of 1987 with Pete -I am the 80s - Waterman going on about the one hit wonders Pet Shop Boys.

I recorded it back in the day but then I got drunk and deleted it.
