Think TicketMaster site is listing out who play first and who plays second - e.g NYC it looks like PSB followed by NO

Keep thinking about a Neil comment in Q magazine (I think) where he said he nearly cried then he heard Blue Monday because it was the type of music he wanted to write.

And here we are.

So, is the consensus that this will be a US only event, or might it happen elsewhere.

My thoughts is US only sadly

And looking at UK specifically

- New Order playing only one UK date this year.

- both bands can happily sell out venues here in the UK on their own so can’t see them playing a co headline.

- Getting schedules aligned will be difficult and I expect PSB to take GH further next year.

- How would it work with running times in UK venues and curfews - first act would need to start around 6.30?

And here we are.
They wrote a song back in the days ("I'm keeping my fingers crossed") that sounded like Blue Monday. Neil sung a line from it in a recent interview (https://rocksbackpages.com/Podcast) and that line does sound like the melody of Blue Monday.
Please resurrect the song for this tour :D

This is WOW !

Since most arena tours are 2-2.5 hrs long, maybe they will play 10-15 songs each (which means MOSTLY their GHs?!)
I was born in a hospital room with green walls, the doctor who delivered me wore a green overall, so did the nurses hovering around. So much greenery around, its no wonder that it is my favourite colour !

You guys must be counting the two Canada dates as US.

Sorry Greendrake !

No excuse for me - should know better and especially more so as I’m travelling to the Rockies this August. I’ll go sit in the corner for a while

Can we all admit “the unity tour” is a horrible name? It implies there was animosity or a rift between the bands, which there never was (afaik).

So many more creative, and apt, choices.
Agreed... and for two bands with such a brilliant backlog of iconic artwork over the decades, the promotional image is atrocious and below both their standards.

Retro. :)
I wonder if we shouldn't be hoping for a joint track called "Unity" to be released this summer. It's a good name for an electronic anthem.

Design-wise, I do not understand the arrangement of the names, except I think the awkwardness is a graphic strategy. And I wonder if it won't behave dynamically and we'll see further permutations in the intervening months.

It is amusing they chose to go with the Release-era font; graphically, the more characteristic Nightlife font would have served similarly. I wonder if they went with it for this tour as their most American font, with its reference to West Side Story.

The pink and glammy texture of the background is very promising.

Barney doesn’t like playing too many dates.
A small voice of calm and reason.

Well, without wanting to derail this thread into political avenues, my first thought was that Unity alluded to Brexit. Both Neil and Bernard have been very vocal about their dislike for the UK leaving the EU.

I agree "Getting away with it" would have been a great title!
