So now after bilingual, elysium, hotspot, fundamental now it's very relentless.
Please, actually and introspective, behaviour
are not very good either. Nightlife and release no need to talk about it.

Electric is their only good album eventually. Must be written in some poll.

It's better than the last several complete albums,
would pick that anyday over anything recent.

Have you liked anything by them since Very ?
You certainly live up to your name.

It is in the top 5 (*) albums they’ve ever made.

Timeless

(*) For the record the others are (predictably)... please, actually, very, behaviour.

My favourite is one thing leads to another. It’s euphoric. It’s epic. The grandmaster remix takes it to another level.

It rains on hotspot, super, release, nightlife, bilingual & Elysium

Yes (in parts) and Electric only partially come close

The chasm is still huge though

Haha, not very good?
I disagree. I quite enjoy it.
I was about to write point by point what I like about each song, but I don't need to justify myself plus it looks a bit ridiculous describing the sounds of each part of the song and describing why they fit PSB's style and why I like them.
Dog wrote: Wed 29 Apr 2020, 6:51 am I think they should have remastered it and issued it as a standalone 12th Parlophone album as a part of the Catalogue series. Should they ever do a boxset it may well be part of that.
Don't you remember, the idea is they'll put out a box set of the dance mixes including Very Relentless, Bilingual Remixed, Yes Dub Mixes and the Disco series.
It'd be fitting for it to also include Fundamentalism, and hopefully it's not too much to ask for the Introspective Club Mixes album too.
The idea behind this is to fill the gaps the Further Listening series has.
Neil says they would of course be remastered.
This is somewhere in the 25 minutes of Fan Q&A they did when promoting the FL albums. I would like to post the exact quote but I've decided not to.

Whoever disrespects Relentless then and now is closer to dislike pet shop boys than being a fan, IMO
I heavily dislike Super compared to other albums but found a place in my collection for it, but Relentless is a jewel, Id rather prefer one Relentless album than 3 Supers

Hate incoming in 3,2,1....

Love x

Relentless is brilliant. A pop act, in the middle of 1993, drop a dance album, with tracks on it played on radio one and Kiss. Their contemporaries could only dream of that. Yes, it’s “of it’s time” but so is Hyper Go-Go’s High, so is Prodigy’s No Good Start The Dance.
is is and isnt isnt

One thing leads to another is, apart from lyrically quite genius, a fantastic closure for a pretty hard dance album. A chill-out shower. The album clicked with me when I heard this track and t made me love this album. A few years ago, when I got into the lyrics of PSB (I don't particularly pay attention to lyrics in any song for any band), I noticed the lines are reversed which made me appreciate the song (and the band) even more.

Relentless was very good when it was released, and guess what : it's still very good today.

Liked it on first listen.
And still listen to it from time to time.

It's one of these albums you start to listen to and just keep listening till it ends.

Relentless is absolutely fabulous. I was very lucky to get the very last copy in HMV in Kettering on a day out and impressed as I was with Very this shines. The two albums fit beautifully on a C-90 cassette for the car, wore that tape out in the end. Class.
And at the end/ Your funny Uncle staring / At all your friends / With military bearing

Disco 2 is brilliant in every way. It’s one of the most creative things PSB has ever done. The only thing I might have done differently is release a 2CD version with all the same tracks unmixed. Otherwise, it’s brilliant.
I sincerely *love* Disco 2 and listen to it straight through regularly.

Yeah, I agree. Moby has done that and very effectively.

Relentless is up there for me as one of their best. Still is.
Next...
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.
