#1 Post by weirdalfan1980 »

What country was Rent and Where the streets have no name (I can't take my eyes off you) video shot in?

It coulnt be UK beacuse the steering wheel of the car is on the left side to both.
Yo, Mr. Dopeman, you think your slick;
Ya sold crack to my sister, and now she's sick.
But if she happens to die, because of your drug;
Im puttin' in your culo, a .38 slug!

According to that, "Clactons seafront and the Amusement Arcades in Pier Avenue" should be where they shot Always on my mind video (hence, some ICHH also ?)

Also: It's said Domino Dancing was shot in San Juan of Puerto Rico... and of course West End girls, HAD & London all been shot in London. The outdoors shots in Can you forgive her? (lake, park...) should be also easy to recognize... anyone? I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere...

Why not. One of my bestest friends has a left hand drive and livesanddrives in UK.

Most of the Smart Cars are Left handdrive too.

Quite a few of the scenes in Can You Forgive Her? where shot near where I work in London (near Bank in the City). The image of them walking in the grey crowd was shot looking south down London Bridge in the morning with all the commuters walking over into the City.

Then there is another scene of them on top of The Monument (a large stone column you can walk up, its a monument to the Great Fire of London), just round the corner from London Bridge.

The 'glass tube' walkway at the beginning pf the video is a pedestrian road crossing next to West India Quay in Canary Wharf. I found it by accident when walking to the cinema at West India Quay.

I thought that in some of the Can you forgive her?? shots, that it wasnt actually N&C in the video - that they got doubles in to play their parts because it meant getting up too early!!

Well the car in "Rent" is being towed because Neil can't drive so the side of the steering wheel is irrevelvent. I think you'll find it was shot in the UK as the railway station in where Chris kisses the woman is Kings Cross.

I think I read in Literally that the "car" in Streets is not a car at all, just a prop made to look like a car - I'll have to drag the article out from somewhere when I get home from holidays unless someone else can look it up.
