Hoarder or serious collector?

#1 Post by PETHEAD72 »

Hi,
Would you consider yourself a hoarder or just a very serious collector?!...do you collect anything and everything regarding PSB?,ie paper cuttings, magazines ads infact absolutely anything regarding PSB?...if so is your collection so big that you simply dont have the space to store it at home anymore but elsewhere?!
You got a heart of glass or a heart of stone?

Oi!...got far to go have you?!...

Only records (official and promos), but not obsessed.
I have a limited budget, so I drop expensive items.

I used to be a bit of a fanatic collector. Going to record fairs in England, Germany, France and of course in my home country, Belgium. And some of my records and CD's will keep the memories alive of those great times I spent on those fairs and in second hand stores, in small dark basements hunting down the stuff from my wishlist. But since the internet became more prominent and things were "more easy" to find and became ridicously more expensive, I slowed down to just the regular official releases. Also the many fakes floating around on the net (of which I bought a few being told they were genuine) made me change into a regular collector.

You should be wary of buying the clear Introspective vinyl.

I outlined the reason in the other thread.

I'm a fan – saying you're a collector implies that you collect the music in all sorts of formats but don't bother to listen to it. To me, anyway.

Seems as good a place as any to say that today I bought an immacculate "Heart" remix 12" off a local market stall in my lunch hour. And I mean immacculate – no folds in the sleeve, nothing: it looks like it's beamed straight down from 1988. The price? £3.
