Poll ends soon: ever been disappointed in a PSB album?

#1 Post by geowayne »

Hey there! Tomorrow (Saturday) is the last full day of my current poll, which asks whether you have ever been disappointed in a Pet Shop Boys album and, if so, which one(s). If you haven't voted yet, please take a moment to visit my "Commentary" site at http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm and make your choices right there on my home page.

On Sunday I will end this poll, post the final results, and launch a new survey for the week ahead.

Thanks to everyone who has already voted! And I hope you all have a great weekend!

I'm very suspicious how few votes there are for Behaviour, I thought that was considered by most fans as a letdown when it first came out and only time has vindicated it. I think some people are only voting for albums they were disappointed by and have STAYED disappointed by.

Exactly. Love Elysium, and I think it will be a grower as time goes on. Rather it than pandering to short-term fans with Electric.

I agree - Elysium is a beautiful album - if only they had left off Ego music for a b-side ad put on say One night - which Andrew Dawson could have done magical job with, or in his imagination, it would be on par with Behaviour for me. Electric is good, but overrated in my opinion

I voted Bilingual, Yes and Elysium.

Wayne, this could easily spawn two more questions -

Are there albums you liked when first released and don't now? (and vice versa).

Such a question should regard onle the REAL (concept, if you like) albums not compilations which D2 obviously is. Most disappointing for me was Elysium after Yes such a let down.
