As a song I think it way up there. It far better than I was expecting (though I'm not sure what I was expecting).

I gave it an 8. It's a quality tune, in the B-side-that-could've-been-an-album-track way. :)
And everything about tonight feels right and so young
And anything I'd want to say out loud will be sung
It's in the music...

its the oddest thing. I'm not sure I even like it... yet I keep pulling it up and listening to it. I think I'm in love with the gorgeous production and sound more than the actual overall song.

so based on that I will give it a 8 on replays.

What insane/sod/jealous Erashure fan/deaf/troll (delete as applicable) gave this a '2'?

I kind of feel this way. Production is nice. But Neil's songwriting in this song is his "linear-mode" as I call it. Other examples: Gin and Jag and the second demo for 9 out of 10 that is radically different from what ended up on CTH. Some tracks on Very got half-way to that style of melody-writing as well. Maybe I just miss deadpan...hmmm...
And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'
"He couldn't have fell off that hard" Ain't no way
"What happened to the way you was rappin' when you was scandalous
That Canibus turned into a television evangelist"
Plus he raps with his regular voice [BOOSH! BOOSH!]
[BOOSH! BOOSH!] (What was that?) Pet Shop Boys
