Emojis are huge
Everytime someone is posting an Emoji, they turn up huge on my screen:
I thought it was funny at first, but it becomes annoying pretty quick.
The usual smileys are working correctly. I'm using Firefox on Windows and Linux. On Chrome, it works OK.

Re: Emojis are huge
Wonder how this looks like! Can you do us a screenshot?
Seen this here also in the past, but for just two seconds only, when the internet connection was too slow. But nowadays - very now and then.

Re: Emojis are huge
It's just someone didn't have knownledge to edit pics before posting here. These Emojis aren't from here.
Will try to cut them down, when I'm back home.

Found the bug!
Whenever someone posts from her/his mobile and using smilies, which aren't from here on the board (i.e. keyboard similes or such from smilie families on mobiles), those smilies would appear huge.
Sorry, can't do anything on that, cause posting such smilies are allowed or with other words: this behaviour can't be forbidden at the time.

Can you add something to the CSS of the forum?TheGardner wrote: ↑Sat 21 Sep 2019, 6:07 pm Found the bug!

If so, you might add this:
Code: Select all
.emoji
{
width:15px;
}

This wouldn't work, because people don't use the forum emojis from here:
They're using their own from the mobile keyboard:

Re: Emojis are huge
The code below was added to the style sheet for the "subsilver2" theme. This is an old theme, probably made before emojis were even a thing so no style code existed for them.
The newer "subsilver" theme that logged out users see (And can be picked from your user control panel) didn't have the problem so only people using "subsilver2" saw the huge emojis.
Code: Select all
.emoji {
max-height: 18px;
max-width: 18px;
height: 1em;
width: 1em;
}

Re: Emojis are huge
After subsilver2 wasn't updated in the last couple of month, I decited to install the next style version called subsilver3.
So if anyone here, who prefer a board with a variable width, please choose "Subsilver3" unter Board Preferences - Board Style. Those who like the board in a fixed width --> "Subsilver".
...and others, who want a board in a dark mode --> "WoWDreanor"

Re: Emojis are huge
There's a small bug, or rather a typo probably, in Subsilver 3, where you see a "-->". See the screenshot, I've marked it in blue, under the "Unanswered topics" link.
