Nightlife Further Listening

#1 Post by E-Mail Vampire »

Apparantly according someone on Popjustice Forums

The Nightlife re-issue has been put back until after the new album in the Spring.

Am slightly annoyed if it has but then again I can understand why.

I don't think it will be a worth-having item.

But I'll buy it anyway.

I think it will be a worth-having item, since it will probably include a few songs that were never officially released: Little Black Dress, Tall Thin Men and For All Of Us, for instance.

Like I have always said if they want to put Little Black Dress/Tall Thin Men on bonus disk the bonus cd should be to a Closer To Heaven Further Listening in which the second cd is the boys versions of the cast recordings (aka the originals). Hopefully the bonus cd to Nightlife Further listening will have some interesting new tracks. Maybe even the alternative version of I Don't Know What You Want But I Can't Give It Anymore.

it would have been nice had it been released before the new CD.stuff like that make the wait for the next original CD seem not as long.

Hopefully the rereleases of Nightlife and Release will feature the same design as the other rereleases. I like that design!

If it has been delayed til after the next studio album they might as well do a Release Further listening as well at the same time.

I think the only worthy item would be that "Run girl run" demo.

there are still some unused demos from C2H like The Night Is The Time To Explore Who You Are and Midlife Criss (which I think was meant for Nightlife then re-worked for C2H)

there was also another demo that was in the running to be used for CTH, "mid-life crisis". reading literally I was led to believe that one was never finished yet in a questions section if memory serves me correct neil talked about "the night is the time to explore who you are"as though that one is finished.

someone asked if it might be released with a remastered CD and he said it could.

I totally agree. Nightlife had appallingly weak B-sides and mixes
and a Nightlife/CTH edition would be so much more worth buying.
