ITWL is a fine song. In fact, having Liza record it is probably it's most brilliant aspect. Dare I say it - Neil on vocals would sound rather wimpy.
Frankly, I feel the whole Results album works perfectly. You have 3 people completely in sync & at their peak. It has excellent production values. Liza gives it her all & even her usual over- the - top inclinations are reined in just enough. It has a great flow - with a slight bump when Love pains comes on - but that's it's only very minor flaw.
And best of all, it's an album for adults. Full of thoughtful, mature concerns.
OH ... thankfully, Liza made N&C take out the awful maniacal laughter in Losing my mind. It didn't work on the PSB version & would have ruined Liza's version.

I was just about to say...I love her version of Tonight is Forever. As mentioned before, I've always been particularly fond of the b-side of Please, and this version of the song I find really beautiful. I wouldn't be surprised if no-one agrees with me, but it gives me a good feeling when I hear it.psb-freak wrote:It´s good song.
My favourites on that album are Don´t drop bombs and Love Pains. Not so fond of Liza´s versions of Rent and Tonight is Forever.
I'm not sure how highly I rate the album as a whole, but there are certainly some great tracks. I like the tracks they did on the Dusty album as well, but that's a different topic I guess...
Good evening PASADENA!!!!!!!!!

Brilliant song and brilliant album. My faves are Twist In My Sobriety and So Sorry I Said, but If There Was Love is definitely up there as well. When it was released my fave used to be Don't Drop Bombs, but the appeal of that song has vaned a bit for me. Love the two PSB covers as well. I feel that I Want You Now is substandard, though, I usually skip that.

Mr. Disco
This topic is interesting because (as a new member here) I can express my feelings towards RESULTS.
I always thought that RESULTS could have been PSB's third album.
I think it fits the sequence perfectly (PLEASE and ACTUALLY and RESULTS). It also fits before BEHAVIOUR. I think, in fact, many of the slower songs have a BEHAVIOURS feel.
It would be great if RESULTS had the music just the way it is and the vocals done by Neil.
Instead, they realeased INTROSPECTIVE which was a smash, but I don't think it is a "proper" album. It would fit better in the DISCO series, since it is made of remixes (only I'm Not Scared is an original). The others were 12" versions of singles and I Want A Dog a remix of a B-Side.
My favourites are:
I WANT YOU NOW
IF THERE WAS LOVE
LOSING MY MIND
I CAN'T SAY GOODNIGHT
DON'T DROP BOMBS
Have you got the REMASTERED double CD ?
It is great. Although I already had the remixes, I had never in my life seen the videos. LIZA is great.
