I think, personally, that if this album lives up to expectations, it will be the first Pet Shop Boys album to sell over a million copies since Nightlife.
If Release can sell 750,000 - then an epic, electro, trevor horn produced masterpiece (which we all hope and expect this to be) can surely return them to 7 figures.
People often underestimate how many albums PSB sell. The UK is only 5% of their global market.
With a little bit of quality they'll reach more than 1 million of copies.

that's not saying much really, theres only been one new PSB album since Nightlife. Thing is no matter how good the album is the problem/issue is who will buy it outside the fanbase, Release garnered good reviews from a large section of the press but that didn't transfer into sales
Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.

There have been three albums since Nightlife, maybe not of entirely new material, but that hardly matters. I mean, Disco and Discography both sold exceptionally well. You can contrast that with PopArt, which sold in moderation, and Disco 3, which totally bombed.
Also, don't forget that Nightlife is now 6 years old. There are not many acts who can shift 1m copies of ANY album, so if the Pet Shop Boys can achieve that they deserve much credit.
I have the feeling fans will be very satisfied with this forthcoming new album. There will be more hits on it than on their previous records. It will be a comeback of success again after 90´s.
