I didn't mock the fact that someone would like a vinyl release. I just found the 'Oh MY GOD why isn't there a vinyl release!!!???' attitude, when vinyl releases are neither essential or sell a lot and most people don't have the equipment to play them anymore, especially for a non vinyl friendly PSB side project, a bit drama queen-ish.
I fail to see how my original post came across as an "Oh My God, there's no Vinyl release" attitude type post.

It was an innocent question, which I wont f*** bother to ask next time.

My grandma would be glad for a 78 RPM vinyl edition of it

Now you are just being silly - but then again think of all those extra formats with pictures you could list on your website.

That question is a very valid one.
No-one essentially needs a vinyl for many years, no-one needs a vinyl of their next studio album, but I'm sure there'll be one once again. So why not for Potemkin when it would have been so easy to press a few thousand copies, make them a collectors' item (red Bolshevik vinyl or whatever) and extra-milk their loyal fans?

By the way, there are many more storage devices that you could use for your mockery, please be more imaginative next time:

Video Storage
Audio storage

I don't think the topic subject 'What! No vinyl???' isn't a bit overly dramatic and I can't for the life of me see why you're so bothered by a bit of a laugh. I mean, really...
Does cameos only.

I am more inclined to rustic, stocky Video 2000 tapes myself, posh Betamax cassettes shall not enter my VCR.

It's a nostalgic preference for a tragically deceased medium.
Brings back memories like watching Italian Hercules movies with Steve Reeves, Hongkong karate films, dad's het porn and so on.
I apologize to the starter of this thread for becoming so off-topic.
Humbly yours, p.

I don't think it's me who needs to worry about my sense of humour.

Topic starter clearly thinks the same as me on this one. A little tact and restraint now and again never goes amiss, especially on an internet discussion forum.

I would *really love* for someone to explain exactly which post of mine on this thread they found offensive or even tactless, that is unless people around here are so overly insecure and of low self-esteem that they can't take any joke whatsoever.

And by the way Steve, 'This is the lamest thing I have ever read', is not exactly tactful, is it?. Pot. Kettle.
Does cameos only.

I'm off to gay silent movie gramophone club on Tuesday. Last week we listened to Liberace's Un Chien Andalou. *beautiful*
