Got Battleship Potemkin CD Today!!

I'm not misunderstanding anything, obviously people who pay for postage should have their order go out first, Amazon is clear about this fact. My gripe is with the fact that if I order two items readily available and a third item that takes approx. two weeks to despatch I'm willing to wait the two, three weeks until the order should be all ready to go, however I don't think I should have to wait two months to get all the items because the third item is still not available and everything else has been put on hold, I've made an order in good faith on the basis of information provided and should Amazons sysytems be inaccurate it is their lookout not the consumers

Bottom line -- if you want Amazon to foot the bill for postage, you should accept when they're ready to ship it. It costs more to ship multiple packages.

Really, if it looks like it's going to take a while due to one item then cancel the order and remake it without that item.

surely they are deceving the customer, if it is unlikely to turn up in 1-2 weeks don't say that it should. Be honest, give a longer expected delivery date and should item turn up earlier everyones happy

Not really deceving at all. Sometimes items DO turn up. Remember it's all computer based. If their supplier says they have it Amazon will report that it'll be available in 1-2 weeks, whch is the expected arrival of the shipment. You want to blame someone, blame the supplier.

Nothing is perfect. Sometimes you just have to accept what is most likely going to happen. If it says 1-2 weeks, order it but if it's taking longer realize it may not be available. OR, do what I do: check other places for confirmed stock and order from there. If EVERYONE says 1-2 weeks or something similar, chances are the item is no longer available.

We joke about it all the time here. If PSB says the new album is due in the Spring, we often say it will most likely be in the Fall.

Well, in defense of Amazon, I just got a message from Amazon saying that the rest of my order has now been shipped without the delayed Duran Duran biography that will be sent to me later without any additional charge for extra posting costs. They did this automatically, because I didn't send any complaints there. So I take some of my previous comments back.

It's the same with Disco 3 and PopArt... Get the UK edition and you avoid the CC.

And today I received it. Two days after my order. And sent from the UK to Sweden.

My Disco 3 and PopArt CDs are both copy protected and I had no problems ripping and making mp3s of them with Nero.

Yeah, I’m a CD-WOW! customer, too. But since they are selling the copy controlled edition I’m not buying it there. The important thing is that our local shops are selling the album at the highest price, which makes me decide on buy it online; once I’ve made that decision, I choose the best edition, which is cheaper anyway.

Ripping is not the problem. The copy control technology doesn’t allow the computer to play the real sound tracks: it makes the player (Windows Media, Real, WinAMP, etc.) to get stuck and report disk errors. Every copy controlled CD includes a custom-built player which plays a compressed sound file with all the tracks, usually a *sucking*

I´ve ordered on cd from there and it took only about 3 days. I don´t remember if it was Back to Mine or Essential.

Got an Email from Recordstore saying my Potemkin order has been 'shipped out', which means I might receive it tomorrow HALLELUJAH ! Next time I'm going HMV......

My favourite song of that album is "After All". The album is not bad but is not the kind of music I´ll be listening to from time to time (I need more energy). I like Neil´s vocals without special effects on it or filters or those things. I think his natural voice is good enough.
